Nah they're shit.

Who is it in the club that is a totally crazy Dimmu Borgir fanboy again?

I remember someone here being wicked obsessed with them.

Note that it says "obsolete." Which means that meaning has fallen out of favor, and is no longer correct.

Why didn't you just say elude, anyways?

I don't think ill go back that far with Ministry, the furthest ill go is picking up The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste and Psalm 69. The later stuff just doesn't really appeal to me all that much, maybe if i was an 80's kid, then i'd go back and pick all the earlier albums up.

For those of you interested in grindcore, Cattle Decapitation, nothing at the same level of Excrementory Grindfuckers, but still decent nonetheless.

Ensiferum's self titled album arrived today and I'm now very happy to own all their studio albums.

Despite being English, I sometimes find it hard to disagree with this statement. Damn this inconsistent language!

Speaking of father and son, my dad's been looking into my music more recently. He's been listening to some Helloween and Slayer, which is great, although his thoughts on Helloween were "They sounds like Iron Maiden." That sort of comment gets rather annoying from time-to-time since the only thing that made them sound like Maiden was Michael Kiske.

My old man accidentally listened to Houses Of The Mole in the car once, he said he didn't really understand the singing, except for Warp City, liked the guitar work, and said some songs were to repetitive.

I <3 Ministry.

I let my dad listen to some rock on the way to a place and my iPod randomly shuffled to a Cannibal Corpse song.

My dad listens to The Beatles, Stones, Small Faces and stuff like that.
My mum on the other hand loves Dream Theater and Helloween.

I do these experiments with my dad to see what he thinks of my music. I'll bring in a CD to play in the car and see what he says.

I haven't really tried metal yet, but once I was listening to Angra and he commented that "Mahavishnu have been doing stuff like this since the seventies, but they called it jazz." Once I was listening to Summoning and he commented on how thick the production was, saying "there's no rests or anything." And when i listen to anything with harsh vocals he'll say "wow, what happy music!"

My dad listens mostly to classical, jazz, and blues rock.

Response to Metal Hell 2009-02-09 14:30:59

my parents think metal is ridiculous. other than that theyve got pretty wide tastes in music, ive even introduced them to new stuff like jazz and a lot of good rock bands. the closest to metal my dad likes from what ive played him is the modern prog bands like tool and porcupine tree.
