You know when I think about it, I don't have a favourite band.

I like bands more than other bands, maaaaaybe.

I can find flaws in all the bands I listen to. But I like their music.

Cathedral's flaws is the happy/lame rawk and rawl tendencies in SOME of their songs. I can still enjoy those lame happy songs, But not as much as others. Therefore, Cathedral is flawed.

Black Sabbath is near the top of the list. Buuuuuuuut.....

That sucks. A lot.

Also, the fact that after the first 6 albums their amazing singer left, and the remaining albums were horrible.

Melvins are near the top of my list. They're not really flawed. I will have to listen to these guys more.

Yeah, it's a damn good song. The only thing is, when you see them live no one seems to get active, you know? I haven't been to one, but I've seen videos. The song's appeal may not be as great if the band is lifeless on stage.

Cradle of Filth are like. Lame core metal full of goth keyboards, complete with a horrible singer. They are a horrible band.

Children of Bodom are way better than Cradle of Filth. As one of my first metal bands, their influence was pretty big on me. Their first three albums had a lot of neoclassical elements with good lead guitar work. They went shit after that. But they were always shit. Alexi Gay-ho like. Made random sounds up on the spot when singing. Fucking tosser.

I have all of High on Fire's discography. They're fucking intense and one of the best bands to come out in the last ten years. I think they outclass Sleep on some level.

They were really dull when I saw them. I can't vouch for the crowd atmos though because I was sat on a hill during their set... and I was depressed due to wallet theft :(.

I suggest lurking more and trying to join sometime in the future after you've learned a bit about metal. Only half of the artists you listed are metal, and they're all, as ElGhoulio would put it, "false-positives". I doubt you'd have much to discuss here now, but if you want band recommendations, some of us may be willing to help you there. Also, try the Metal Archives (Encyclopaedia Metallum) to get a better grasp of the genre of metal. If you enter a band name in the search and it doesn't come up, it probably isn't metal.

Well I might not be around for maybe a week or two since I'm having this whole computer re-built because it's unstable as hell and has a shitload of hardware errors. If I can I'll be posting on my PS3 but that won't be as often and the posts sure as hell won't be as long. Anyways, hopefully once this is done I'll be a lot more regular around here since the only times I haven't posted have been when I had to struggle through BIOS settings and shit to get my computer to run. But look at the bright side, I'm getting a brand new computer with what I want in it instead of what they want so it'll be really nice in the end.
