What the fuck is with non-Australians, tsk tsk tsk.

My god, did you have to make a big thing about one little thing I said?

Ugh! As much as I love their music, they are not metal! Maybe some of their tracks are considered metal, but overall, they're rock!

Fuck you VH1. No wonder why we get kids here saying bands like Queen are metal when they're clearly not. And Fall Out Boy metal? Them being called metal is nothing new to me since the fucking idiots at HMV and Zavvi put their CDs in the metal section and it really pisses me off how I have to see bullshit like that in the metal section.

Keep non-metal away from the metal section!

Yeah the only real metal bands I remeber in that countdown were Iron Maiden, Metallica, Pantera and Black sabbath.

Keep non-metal away from the metal section!

Totally agreed.

Anyway after seeing the final twenty best hard rock songs i'm honestly surprised.

Metallica sandman was 5 or 6 but that's not a surprise, the surprise is that Led Zeplin's Stairway to heaven wasn't in the countdown at all(Should've been #1) and welcome to the jungle was #1. (Should've been two or three in my opinion.)

Oh well.

Pretty solid list apart from the Deathcore (All Shall Perish), which we don't really discuss here.

Paint everything black, have Necrophagist play for you, fuck your wife in front of the antipriest, kill her and fuck her again.

I'd say thatd be the most metal.

Yeah, they really did remind me of Tool, except in a more stripped down rock direction. Basically I would consider Tool better than Clutch.

I really like the Deicide in there, and Dying Fetus, Hate Eternal, and Cannibal Corpse are good.

The first All Shall Perish album is solid and not core-ish at all. A few slight touches maybe, but solid and rather technical DM. The rest is of course meh.

Thanks Ryan, but even if you're not employed there, you can still send a complaint to the manager about the bullshit in the metal section. Unless, you feel the complaint will be noted more if you were employed there.

Welcome to the Jungle at #1? I strongly disagree with that. It's a good song, but I wouldn't put it in the top 10, let alone #1.

Complaining does nothing, trust me on this. It just gets you laughed at for actually getting worked up about it, which frsutrates me even more as the damned staff that work in the music section and couldn't care less about music at all. Fair enough if they don't like Metal, but damn, they can at least know the difference between indie and death metal. Seriously the guy I talked to couldn't even do that.

I love it. But I love all his music. I've been a fan of theirs for years and I love the black metal that's been coming out that's been trying to draw from the roots of the genre.

I want to have your opinion on breaking instruments on live show.

I want to know cause a few days ago, I saw a live video of Sonata Arctica and the keyboardist destroyed is keytar (or keyboard guitar, call it whatever you like) after they played San Sebastian.

I still believe that it sucks to break instruments like this. What's the point? Showing off that you got enough money to afford breaking stuff that cost you more than $1000? Freakin pointless...

Quite pointless, but adds to the feel of some live shows, much like anarchy - or the like.

Depends on how much the instrument cost. But I think it's kinda stupid and excessive, 'cause I was raised to respect instruments.
