In the 80's, I thought they were equals. I enjoy listening to the Metallica Mp3's I downloaded off of Napster as much as listening to Rust In Peace, though I listen to Death and Black metal 100x more.

Most american bandfs have a short shelf life. They are underground for a few yaers, then they explode into popularity, and then the suck X 100000000000. >:(

I like the European Metal scene a lot more than the American. There are good bands in America, but most of the European ones top them all.

Especially the northern part of Europe(Sweden, Norway, Finland) has awesome acts.

When it comes to Thrash Metal, Germany beats everyone.

Yeah definetly. I love metal. Its the best type of music.

Of course. The best guitarist in the world, Yngwie Malmsteen, came from sweden and H.I.M. are finnish. So am I. But I am not so sure about Germany being the best for thrash metal. For example there is Carpathian Forest who are from Norway. And slayer and mettallica are both american. They are the best in Thrash metal.

well Annihilator are pretty good and are from Canada which to me is the same thing as America but others think differently, but my thrash knowlegde is limited as im not too keen on the genre as such.

I tried to make one once, a streaming radio over the internet, it had over 1000 songs, all metal, and you could request songs to play.
However, it all fell apart because it ran the music library off of my computer, which made it lag, and whenever I shut down my computer, well you get the idea.
If I can get a server, or a reliable webhost with 4 or more GB of space, I could recreate it, and it would work fine.

Thats crazy. There is nowhere on the net where a web host will give you 4 or more GB of space. The highest I have seen is 2.5 GB. You have to pay 10 dollars a month though. Still, if you compressed all your songs, I am sure it would all fit on there.

BTW guys, I've launched a black metal side-project a month ago. I play and compose everything myself, I'll keep you updated. It's going to be raw, but I don't want to be a Burzum, Beherit, or whatever copycat :)

Yeah, if I want the straem up and running again, I am going to need to buy a Server, which is probably how newgrounds does it, because all of this website's Flash Movies is huge enough, but inclduing the BBS, Audio Portal, etc... Holy shit that must be a lot of space.

Soon, maybe even in the end of this month or in May. I'm working my ass off daily, spend hours for it, even though it was supposed to be just for fun :) Still enough time for my main band, though.

I have already done an interview with a local mini-magazine, called "Goat-Fist" =P Maybe only 10 guys will read it, because it's so small, but that's good enough for the start =P
