I wouldn't call him the master ;) but I'd especially recommend "Det Som Engang Var".

Yes. After reading "Lords of Chaos", I realized that Vikernes is an asshole, a hypocrite, a wishy washy, a liar, and an opportunist, in addition to being plain nuts.

Indeed :)

I don't let that influence my thoughts about the music though. He has some nice instrumentalization, but his vocals are terrible.

I'm considering getting another Gorgoroth album within a few monthes. Would you guys recommend Incipit Satan, or Antichrist? Those are the two I'm considering.

So Cradle Of Filth is the most extreme music you listen to? I guess I shouldn't be asking about Gorgoroth to you.

Great list.
I would reccomend checking out some Overkill and Destruction, and perhaps some Judas Priest.

Metallica sold out. I'm sorry, but that's kinda obvious. They were cool in the 80's, but now they suck ass. Slayer and such came around about the same time as Metallica, but they didn't sell out.

It is on his list, whoopsie IvanVackinof, you have a Metallica album in there, "Ride The Lightning", but you forgot to put it in a folder titled "Metallica", unless I am mistaken and you know a band called Ride The Lightning.
btw, you spelled Rammstein wrong, 2 M's, not one.

I guess you never heard of Ajattara.

Yes, but black metal IS always the most extreme, and COF is not that extreme of a black metal band. And I think Ajattara is a death metal band, so yeah. I've heard of them. I'm also considering buying Deteriorot "In Ancient Beliefs" or Tartaros- "Grand Psychotic Castle" or Sacramentum- "Far from the sun", so yeah. I know my black metal. But, it would be nice to round out my collection with a bit of death metal in addition to all the black metal.

American Headcharge, Superjoint Ritual and Machine Head are pretty bad IMO, and I haven't heard of a few in the list. Megadeth is quite the best band you've listed. Welcome to the club.

That is because most metalheads are a little new to the genre, or don't know many bands, so Metallica becomes their favorite. After they discover better bands, most of them move on, same with Nu-Metal.

Hey, we all have to start somewhere. Soulfly actually do have a little credibility, as Max Cavalera from soulfly is the same Max Cavalera from Sepultura. Eventually people will move on to extreme metal. And btw, in the day, Metallica did more for metal than Megadeth. They were considered equals.
