Either:
Derek Roddy - (Malevolent Creation, Hate Eternal, Blotted Science and Nile)
or
John Longstreth - (The Red Chord, Skinless, Possession, Angelcorpse, Exhumed)
This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

The best Metal vocalist is without a doubt Ronnie James Dio. Besides he´s been in the music business since the 50´s.

I don't see the point in pre-ordering something that doesn't have a certain release date. I'd rather wait until they confirm a release date for when the album WILL be out before pre-ordering it.

Now drummers I can easily name. Two I can name are Mike Portnoy and Neil Peart. Of course, there are other great drummers out there, but those are my favourite two.

It's possible he means Maynard James Keenan, Tool/A Perfect Circle.

I was talking about the first album though, the one that came out in 2004.

I'm a Tool fan, and while I can honestly say Maynard's vocals are awesome, weird and totally fitting to the music, he doesn't really deserve a best vocalist position.
And did anyone read my post on the last page? David Gold of Woods of Ypres actually sent me a message saying that I made his day. OMG.
Happy 1666th page, even though it doesn't mean anything!

Jayson Sherlock.

I beg to differ. King Diamond has one of the most amazeing voices in the history of metal! Very few people can sing like him without sounding like a wee girl.

There was a article in revolver long ago that explained this.

I imagine it has something to do with Sabbath and the tradition of singing about occult themes passed on down the years.
Why do all modern rappers sing about being pimps and being wealthy. All current Indie bands sing about being working class and such uncultured themes. Boy bands sing about girls and love. Themes stick.
favourite drummer- dale crover (yes, im a sludge/doom fanboy) but in general it'd be bill bruford, the guy from lightning bolt, bonham or george hurley from a punk band called the minutemen (who also have one of the best bassists ever- mike watt.)
i cant think of one best vocalist, cuz each genre has totally different expectations of 'good' vocals. death would be my vote for best black metal vocal tho without a doubt. johnny morrow for sludge/doom...theyre the only styles i really listen to in-depth. best overall vocals for me are maynard jk, chris cornell or tim eriksen, singer for a band called cordelias dad.
RZZZZZZ

I can't get enough of Patrick Walker's vocals. The misery they invoke is amazing.
But you raised a good point about each genres differences. So I shall play along and watch how everyone follows :P.

I like them too, but way too many people think they're a poser band for whatever reason. Fuck elitists, the Sword is great.

He's an amazingly precise drummer. He may not show so much spontaneousness sometimes, though he is live, but if you give him a riff, he'll build and craft a perfect beat over it rather than vice versa.
Here I am, bored with everything.
I'd like to show you what I had made and I do say it brings a tear to my eye.
Thanks photoshop crew! :D
I think any musician who has ever been in Death is guaranteed to be fucking brilliant.
