Since this is your first time posting here, I'll be 'nice'.

Fuck off and listen to Vader, Cannibal Corpse or Metallica or some shit like that and go crawl under your rock before you come back.

Have a nice day.

I believe there's a magazine like that called 'Why would we bother with good music when we can make articles about shitty core bands?'

There's one that's ok, but I forget the name. Also, most magazines suck.

Terrorizer from the UK. Great fucking metal mag, also comes with a 2CD sampler of artists featured in the mag. Found a few good bands that way, including Negura Bunget. See if you can get it where you are, though it may be expensive. I was paying like 7.50 USD but worth every penny.

You won't "get it" unless you find humor in every day human interaction. I do and I think Seinfeld is hilarious. It's one of my favorite tv shows. Similarly people can watch The Big Lebowski and not even smirk at the banter between The Dude, Walter and Donny meanwhile I'm laughing my head off. I guess it's just a matter of different tastes in humor.

Only black is true, only death is real.

It always warms the heart when a new guy does the intro post right and has good taste in music.

I've seen Trivium and crap like that in the mag. I'm sure I've been some Power in there too when I've glanced through in Smiths.
Still, it's probably the closest thing to an exclusively Death/Black mag.

Funny enough, I've never picked up a Metal magazine. I usually search for metal bands on the Internet and hardly find stuff elsewhere. I used to buy video game magazines when I was younger, but eventually gave up on that. Now I don't even bother with any magazines.

Oh great, Trivium... :| Then again, I don't really give a shit about them these days. I heard their new album's out next week, but meh, I stopped caring about Trivium a while ago. Whatever they do now, I'm not bothered.

FORGOT TO SAY yeah terrorizer magazine is thee shit. probably the only decently written music mag out there. except when they interviewed the melvins, the interviewer was a cunt.
it covers all extreme music- so all metal (mainly focusing on death, black & doom) punk, hardcore, grind, weird experimental stuff, even industrial, prog and folk and that kinda thing now & then.

I never checked that one out. I suppose I should look into it. I've always been looking for stuff by The Rockin' Vicars, cause you have to admit, that's a pretty sweet name.

Didn't that happen a while ago when Timo was going psycho and just left them? Then he did his own stuff for a while, then came back? I didn't know they stopped AGAIN.

I hate when my favorite bands break apart >:C Especially the good aussie bands, like Daysend and Dungeon.

Listening to 'Throne Of Molok', some nice Industrial death metal from Italy here. Worth a listen i must say.

It happened back in February when Tolkki was being a drama queen. I dunno if the drama is still going on, but I'm not giving a damn about the bullshit. However, Stratovarius (whichever setup, I'm not sure) are to be making one more album and then disband for good.

At 9/25/08 08:58 PM, batman64 wrote: I have been listening to a lot of Hawkwind and I say that at least the Lemmy era and some later discs should be considered Metal. Any opinions on this?

I'm not sure since I've yet to listen to any Hawkwind. However, considering Lemmy was in that band, I intend to get some Hawkwind albums sometime, especially the ones from the Lemmy era.
