That's what I planned to do today while I was in town. I got the new album and although I'm only on the second track so far as I'm typing this, I'm not too impressed so far. Oh well, my sister wanted to listen to the album as well, so I didn't mind getting it.

i sort of agree, I wasn't going to post but I saw so many idiots their that I needed to correct.

The best part is a i wiped the floor with everyone who tried argueing with me.

Honestly, you shouldn't have bothered arguing with the Generalfags in the first place. That would have saved you a lot of time.

I won't bother listening to this song. I think listening to two songs on the album is enough until it comes out.

Unfourantly for me the only store that sells albums that I like is a 45 minute drive from here.

I won't be going there just for Dragonforce unless their are other albums i want and/or i'm already in that general area.

I tried.

What would have saved time is if the OP had specified on what type of metal he wanted or if he really did want metalcore, NU metal and alkt. metal.

What- it isn't like you can listen to all the songs on a album to death before it comes out. *Rolls eyes*

I must say, the drums sound just a tad sloppy. But i still like it.

SO LET IT BE WRITTEN
SO LET IT BE DONE
I'M SENT HERE BY THE CHOSEN ONE
SO LET IT BE WRITTEN
SO LET IT BE DONE
TO KILL THE FIRST BORN PHARAOH SON

I'M CREEPING DEATH!
I know why I love this again.

and now I subtle-y changed the topic to metallica: another new song is out. It would be good, if it weren't for the horrible drum sound.

Does anyone else agree that "My Apocalypse" sometimes strays into crossover territory? Lars (truly abysmal) drumming sounds as if it came straight from an 80s crossover record (old Nuclear Assault, anyone? Just worse, of course).

Overall, it might be the best of the three new songs so far and I'd definitely call it thrash.

Even Hetfield sounds better here, I think that "Spit it out!" part actually fits well.

Response to Metal Hell 2008-08-26 16:46:30

Am I the only one who thinks Lars' drumming wasn't that bad?

And you won't be impressed by the new Dragonforce the first time you hear it. You need to listen to it a few times to get into it.

Hmmmm...
Doubt it.
Although I suddenly love that Song by Elvenking "The Divided Heart" when I used to hate it A LOT, now i've listened to it like 15- 20 times in a row!

it's kind of weird, but my ideal "have sex to this music" album is My Bloody Valentine's "Loveless."

ironic name, but the music makes me think of fucking. On the subject of songs about fucking, maybe you could go with Big Black's "Songs About Fucking." Also there's a techno album somewhere called songs to fuck to or something along those lines. I don't remember who did it.

Haha, that's the freedom of a birthday. Happy birthday there!

I get the same thing - page 1609 instead of what should be 1624 or something. Weird.

I also got #1 spot of the week in the Audio Portal, I'm pleasantly surprised.

I don't mean covers, like the ones popular on youtube, I mean songs by the bands themselves.

Thy light's suici.de.pression made me like them, and I know enough of the classical composers so that I don't have to ask about those.
