I'm afraid not. The only Cannibal Corpse songs I like are those that stand out from others (e.g. Shredded Humans, Hammer Smashed Face, I Will Kill You and a few others).

Odd, whenever I wonder to myself where you are, you always come back and say something here.

Damn, that sucks. Hopefully things work out with your band and moving out.

Ok phew it's been a while since I podted like 400 pages or something liek that. Anyways fello Metalheads I have a predicament. MY band is schedualed to play a benefit show for our friend who has cancer and our lead guitarist who is also vocals is in Toronto and will be back at best the day of the show. So we no vocals or lead our options are few. We need to fill up a 20 minute set and so far my best ideas are instrumentals since the only thing I can sing well is death/black metal (I'm also the drummer and I've found it extemely difficult to drum and sing at the same time and I prefer my instrument over vocals.)
So it's me the bassist and the rythm gutarist and ideas that have been thrown out there are Anesthesia and ( do I dare say it?) Dance of Eternity which I'm not sure the rythm guitarist or bassist can learn in just 8 days (the show is the 23rd). So I'm asking you guys wtf do we do. We play stuff from Megadeth to Lamb of God to Pantera, in around those genres (No Metallica theres 2 fucking Metallica cover bands in our area we don't want to be a third). Playing Black or Death metal is out of the question because the bassist and rythm guitarist don't like it that much it's more of the leads and my thing. So any help would be appreciated any instrumental songs you guys can think of that can be easily learned in 8 days would be awsome help.

Don't be such a fucktard.

I think that Megadeth could work in an instrumental fashion but Pantera and LoG? Hardly...are you sure about this? Other than that, play some early Pro-Pain and Arise-era Sepultura. Could work.

Well. I just discovered Katatonia.

Well were not going instrumental with Pantera or LoG, thats just me giving an example of what we play so you guys can give me ideas on what I should do, 7 days and we have Anesthesia down, THEY decided against Dance of Eternity because we have no keyboards and I told them that there a bunch of lazy fuckers...so we need about 15 or so more minutes of stuff...any ideas?

so i was hanging out with my friends in barnes and nobles the other day. my friend luc, who is almost as big a metalhead as I, was wearing his Children of Bodom shirt, and some hipster looking guys walked by us, eyeing us sort of weird. i didn't think much of it, but then one of them started playing wintersun on his phone, and immediately luc, me, and the two other friends i was with all started saying 'wintersun! wintersun!" the hipster guys came by and we started discussing metal. They were all really big metalheads and knew their shit, and didn't mention any bad bands. Some bands that I remember discussing were kalmah, elvenking, wintersun, ensiferum, moonsorrow, and many other power, melodeath and folk bands. it was cool.

also my don caballero shirt came but that's not relevant

Just got the biggest scare in the history of having this computer, the fucker kept trying to format itself. I stopped the cunt and i still have all my metal.

Currently backing up to USB's now.

Some recently acquire albums
The Vile Comception - Hour of Penance
Psalms Of The Moribund - Defeated Sanity
Telesis - Emeth
Requiem - Mezzo Forte - Virgin Black
Requiem - Fortissimo - Virgin Black

Loving the Virgin Black. Got their albums mostly because of their upcoming support for Opeth.

That reminds me of the dream I had last night. I dreamt I lost all my stuff on my computer, but luckily, that hasn't actually happened. However, I should backup my stuff soon incase some nasty shit happens to my computer.

George Fisher has some serious issues. Vanity/Nemesis and Cold Lake, no one in their right mind would of ever made those shitty records. Monotheist is his greatest achievement, but it took him long enough to fucking make it. I wish they started playing gothic doom before he started making shit albums.

Response to Metal Hell 2008-08-17 08:49:50

Misery's Omen, some nice Aussie Doom Metal right there.

Response to Metal Hell 2008-08-17 09:49:44

Yeah i'm getting into doom a lot now. Agalloch probably got me into it, and listening to early Katatonia, before they were doom rock (WHICH I LURVVVE) and more doom death, that stuffs alright. I still like early Katatonia. But basically they're a great band which I am now a big fan of. Check outs nows.
