Actually, I suppose I don't know what I meant. I guess I just hate both bands and was looking for an obscure way to put that across, and because I did so, I looked like a humoungus (or however you spell it) dickwad.

Alright, I listened to a few more Sigh songs, mostly their Black Metal stuff, and have discovered that they are indeed quite badass. Midnight Sun was the song that I origianlly listened to, I guess it was their only one that sucked balls.

Sorry for jumping to conclusions, I now like this band, etc.

I haven't seen Batman Begins so I wouldn't know how The Dark Knight compares in terms of Nolan's work with the series.
I'm not really a fan of Batman. I don't like the design of the character and it doesn't interest me really, at all. Naturally Bale played the role great, but Bale tends to do that ;).
I just wanted to see Ledger's performance, I'm fond of the man, and it wasn't disappointing. If only the film was called The Joker and was about the other side of crime in Gotham City because every scene with him was utterly captivating... a man can dream :(.

And I've got Bloodstock this weekend :). Going Friday morning after a session of alcohol-based recreation :).

A band that everyone needs to hear is THE ELYSIAN FIELDS.

They sound like a mix of Hellenic Black Metal, old Septic Flesh, old Paradise Lost and Opeth (if they had songwriting talent).

Check out "Adelain" and "We..the Enlightened" - both great albums. I have yet to check their newer work.

Have you been living under a rock? GREECE = Hellas - Hellenic Black Metal - they have a completely unique sound. That's where I get most of my own inspiration from. I can't keep my mouth shut about anything Hellenic, that's why I'm wondering how you could have missed that. Bands with the Hellenic Black Metal sound:

Maybe thats very ignorant of me. But I've only seen the term twice in my life so far and the other was yesterday maybe... recently anyway... maybe you said it. Which contradicts my first point if thats the case :(.
