Anyway, I would like to know on what album is the song Victoria Secrets by Sonata Actica, cause it's fucking sweet !!!
I just bought one of their first album, Ecliptica and it's awesome, anybody else have it?
Victoria's Secret is on winter hearts guild (my favourite album of theres) and Ecliptica is fucking amazing, i would seriously recommend their entire disco' :P
Oh, I will buy the whole collection someday :)
Can we consider Images And Words by Dream Theater to be a Metal album? Cause it's really just a progressive album.
That is just one album though, like origin by borknagar which is all acoustic, however it doesnt change the fact that they are metal.
I know they are metal, I was just wondering if this specific album was considered metal.
and on the metalcore debate, everytime i hear a metalcore song all i think of is this, i havent heard a single metalcore band that i havent thought as trying too hard to be br000ta1
OMFG !!! Thats not metalcore... thats screamo !!! I'm shitting on that band !!!

way too much Melodic Death Metal and Thrash Metal influences
Double kicks and growling does not = death metal or thrash metal influences.

there is the word METAL in METALcore... so you fail, and your opinions and tastes in music won't make it change. I really am sorry about the fact that black metal is considered metal... but it is... so accept the fact that metalcore is way more Metal than Hardcore.
and this is final.
Metalcore isn't metal for the very reason that the hardcore influences are more noticeable than the Metal influences, Groovy riffs, Breakdowns, that annoying Scream vocal, and the whole "Hardcore dancing" in the crowds.
Listen to this.
that is not metalcore... thats screamo, even the name of the video tells you its emo...
is it more of this.
absolutely not like this
or this?
absolutely not like this either.
No, Okay, that just proves that they don't get their influence from Death metal.
Thrash metal?
No.
Megadeth is one of my favorite band. Don't try giving me lessons on thrash metal.
Power/Black/Doom/Goth/Melodeath/Folk?
Metalcore is not metal, It's just Hardcore by some faggots that have listened to too much Nu pantera, Metallica, At the Gates(which already had some hardcore in it), And pathetically failed at trying to put the aspects of those bands into their music.
I'll give you my examples of the metalcore bands I like:
first one
second one
third one (in the original version there is more scream, but they have two versions)
Also guys, here's my entire metal music album collection, so you guys may understand that I'm not some random emo who's trying to make his in way into metal.

The reason why I am stating this, is because lots of you guys doesn't seem to make the difference between metalcore and emocore or screamo. I don't like bands with fag haircuts and shitty lyrics, I also really hate it when good bands like Avenged Sevenfold let themselves slip in emo fashion, because you guys can't deny that they have at least a few nice songs.
So maybe next time I'll talk about metalcore, consider the fact that I am talking about this kind of metalcore, and not the gay one with fag haircuts.
