Jesu is pretty good. They're one of only 2 shoegaze bands I've checked out so far, the other being Alcest. I liked both.
Also, I'm not about to defend Pantera, but Cowboys From Hell and Power Metal were good albums. The rest, though.......no.

Desperado is the sequel to El Mariachi but the main character is different in El Mariachi instead of Antonio Banderas.
Yeah, the original starred Carlos Gallarda, who played a different role in Desperado. He was either Campo or Quino. I can't remember which. And I think he was a producer for Once Upon a Time in Mexico.
I'm a serious movie buff...

I point this mainly towards you Sensey (seeing as you know my Garm preferences :P).
In my opinion, the best albums are Bergtatt, Perdition City, Metamorphosis, and Blood Inside.
Really, almost every Ulver album is good. I just didn't like Teachings in Silence. It was boring and went nowhere. Other than that, it's all good, though the vocals in Nattens Madrigal are irritating.

Despite their controversy, I finally finished my Alice in Chains collection.
I haven't heard a lot of their stuff yet, but I like what I did hear.
What is this controversy of which you speak?
I might need your help again Sensey, I've been having trouble getting a specific album by Sigh.
I can do that. I have all of their albums. Every one of them is good, too. :)

I love Solefald harsh vocals :).
Especially the really cold ones like on Queen in the Bay of Smoke.
The only Solefald album that has vocals that bug me is the Linear Scaffold. That high pitched shrieking is difficult to endure.
Also, I really really hope there's a new Solefald album in the works. I'm dying here!

I've been trying to stay away from avant-garde stuff, but it keeps popping up
AVANT-GARDE IS THE BEST.
The only stuff like that I have is Ulver and Vintersorg.
I don't see how Vintersorg is avant-garde. His stuff is fantastic, but I think it's really just progressive with folk elements.

Avant-Garde Metal isn't that weird or wild. Its not much different from Progressive.
Actually, some of it is pretty weird, but yeah.
Also, I've seen no discussion of Fleurety here. You guys should check them out already. >:(
