DragonForce have sweeps too. Do you like DragonForce?

I hate Metalcore Singing Ruined it for me.

He still sounds like Alex fucking Varkatzas

I don't listen to them If that's what you think, I just found this While Watching Necrophagist guitar Videos or something, And Noticed dey had sum sweeps.

Every tech band these days have sweeps.
Shit, most mallcore bands pull sweeps out of their asses to sound cool. It takes some skill, yes. More skill than I possess, at that, but shitty music is not justified by talent.

I also got some fat strings for tuning that lady down, if I need it. Does the job. I was mainly looking for a fast neck and good playability.

Not with the right model ;) also no boring standard black or white finish. It's the textured grey one. Looks neat. Normal SGs are boring anyway.

Totally reminds me of The Number Twelve Looks Like You. If you can get past the shitty vocals, the instrumentals have a lot of potential and talent, but the vocals and -core ruin it.

See what i mean?

yeh that is a shame, that guitar work at the beginning was quite tasty :S once the vocals started i recoiled in fear like all narrow minded people do, such a shame.

in other news i got hold of some more Type O Negative who i have rediscovered my undying love for. and also for those interested in here some Benighted after Oppug checked them out a liked them here is a vid that i put together (ok vid is a strong word, picture and music) of the first song i ever heard from them and its what completly hooked me to them:

Benighted - Collapse

Does anyone know where I can get some Agalloch downloads? I've been listening to Limbs off of Youtube for the longest time now and I'm creaming my pants. I need this song on my computer not a video site.

I disagree, although a Change of Seasons (just the song) is as good as anything on Awake.

Like 6.00, Caught in a Web and Innocence Faded.

All 3 are excellent songs. >:(

I thought that Black for Death was better than RfF.

yes, agreed.

I was greatly put off RfF due to 'Survival of the Outlaw' sounding like Lamb of God (or what I perceive LoG to sound like). Maybe I should just say Pantera.

hmm

Its the main riff at the beginning. That type of rhythm annoys me a lot.
The bits inbetween I like though, and on a second listen I did enjoy it more.

Duh.

Of course he was, to Even Assume that I could ever possibly like Dragonforce is blasphemy.
Dragonforce just suck so fucking much, It's like a soundtrack to a really crappy Nintendo game It's cheeeeeesy as fuck, The lyrics are just gibberish, They basically just take The Words "Fire", "Black", "Cry" and maybe a few others like "Ride" .

RIDE UPON THE BLACK STEED,
THE FIRE OF COURAGE BURNS,
LET THE BATTLECRY BE HEARD.

Their song are ALWAYS exactly the same, The same damn scales, The same drumming, And the same song structure.

a slight part of the lyrics that are in the chorus...-OOOOOOOOOOOHH THE FULL LYRICS THAT ARE IN THE CHORUS!!

And I've seriously Heard Songs By HIM that are Heavier than the stuff Dragonforce writes, Of course they have more musical Value too.

not only is their music the suckiest, Gayest, And Nonsensical I've ever heard, But THE MEMBERS CAN'T EVEN PLAY THEIR OWN MUSIC LIVE!!

Dragonforce is not good enough to be metal.

Arcturus

Solefald
Fleurety
Ved Buens Ende
Virus
Age of Silence
Maudlin of the Well
Kayo Dot
Unexpect

And Aarni, if that counts. Aarni is like experimental doom metal. It's really good either way, so check it out regardless.

Heavy power metal, you say? What about Bodom?

Anyway, all of you shut up.
I was just at the talent show for the past few hours. There were NO metal acts, which in today's music scene isn't that surprising. After all the performances were over (All but two were either Indie or Pop), I met with my friends' band and discovered that the useless fucker in charge of the equipment turned off the distortion on all the amps, and they got cut off at the end, which I thought was a tad unfair. I've made any amends that were left to be made with them, and we're on friendly terms again.

They didn't win, though.
