Train of Thought are Octavarium have great songs on them (Stream of Consciousness and Octavarium respectively), even if they're far below par. But they're much better than Falling Into Infinity (and Six Degrees; in my opinion, its poo).

Awake has a few weaker songs but more stronger ones. Images is just a very good album overall, and that constant level makes me like it more.

I agree, i see it more rock, just cause a few songs prove more heavy, I don't think it auto places it into metal.
I've always heard it as a heavy rock alternative, but grunge rock sounds right too. Although I think grunge would be a lil light for them, but they didn't ALWAYS stick to one sounds, such as a very heavy sound such as Them Bones, which I still consider rock imo.
I like them, they're good, just can't agree that they fall into metal.
