Sad, because you'd be right about that.
Too many fucking newbs for my liking. I prefer picspam and petty womanish arguing to idiot two-band posts.

I got that and Dopethrone. Both were excellent. Any more recs? So far I've been enjoying it, as these are genres I don't usually listen to.

If you can get past the whole cliche name you'll really love the music if you're a fan of Death Metal mixed with techno/melodic elements.
Superficial maybe, but I'm kind of interested now. I'll look up some of their stuff sometime later today.
:D
This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

I can never be sure.
Awake has a few weaker songs but more stronger ones. Images is just a very good album overall, and that constant level makes me like it more.

I suggest their older stuff. Heathenreel and Wyrd. Winter Wake is pretty good too. Check out The Scythe as well, though I haven't really listened to it.

they are pretty sweet, can i suggest nekrogoblikon to you, they are in the same vein as Elvenking, but they are a little less serious... i mean alot less serious.
speaking of goblins, of you are into really down tempo sabbath inspired stuff check out goblin cock, they arn't really heavy, but they are still sick, and sadly only have one video, and its for their worst song (it's below) if you can find the song snuffalufagus, its sweet, or kegrah the dragon king, hats a dope song too.

It is kind of silly that they would intentionally mispell the word death. I don't understand this trend in titles. Mortal "Kombat" for example.

Well, other gems of the stoner/doom genre are:
Pentagram (Relentless) by Pentagram
Busse Woods byy Acid King
Keelhaul by Keelhaul
Sleep's Holy Mountain and Dopesmoker by Sleep
That should keep you busy.
Here I am, bored with everything.
For the last time:
Alice in Chains is genuinely heavy enough to be considered heavy metal.
Listen to "Them Bones" and tell me that isn't metal.
I will reiterate my point again:
ALICE IN CHAINS IS METAL. PERIOD!

I agree, i see it more rock, just cause a few songs prove more heavy, I don't think it auto places it into metal.
I've always heard it as a heavy rock alternative, but grunge rock sounds right too. Although I think grunge would be a lil light for them, but they didn't ALWAYS stick to one sounds, such as a very heavy sound such as Them Bones, which I still consider rock imo.
I like them, they're good, just can't agree that they fall into metal.

It's wise if you learn to remember that. We can get a little... testy, if you spell it wrong.
Other than that you seem legit enough to join. It's just a matter of a Horseman allowing you in and listening to more Metal.
My advice to you:
1. Listen to moar METHULZ.
2. Learn to spell. (People like good grammar)
3. Enjoy your stay and hope for the best!
When I die. It will be in a blaze of glory.

I'd recommend Metropolis, Pt. 2 too. But you don't seem to be a fan of post-Moore Dream Theater. So just get Images and Words.
That's not true. I liked Systematic Chaos.

I own Awake, Train of Thought, A Change of Seasons, and Octavarium. Awake is 10 times better than all of them put together.
Although the song A Change of Seasons is probably par with Awake.

Weaker songs? Like... Innocence Faded, The Silent Man and Lifting Shadows off a Dream? They're all good songs in my opinion.
And again. Don't let Mr-Corleone join.
