I decided to listen to the album, but to be honest I was only really impressed with the opener track Combustion. The rest of the tracks I wasn't so interested in. I still think I is the best song they've made.

I'm looking for melancholic female vocals. Genre really doesn't matter I guess, it can be black, death whatever.

Train of Thought are Octavarium have great songs on them (Stream of Consciousness and Octavarium respectively), even if they're far below par. But they're much better than Falling Into Infinity (and Six Degrees; in my opinion, its poo).

I'd recommend Metropolis, Pt. 2 too. But you don't seem to be a fan of post-Moore Dream Theater. So just get Images and Words.
