Alice In Chains and Rage Against The Machine! those were what got me into rock period.

Seconded, Alice in Chains is awesome. They are also on the Metal Archives. Just saying, they kick ass. I saw them live with the new vocalist, and though it could never be completely the same, it was still a kick-ass performance and the guy was a dead-ringer for Layne Staley.

Mad Season is also fucktastically awesome (really, its good) if you want some mellow stuff.

In other news I've been smashed most of this weekend.
Friday having a GH3 fest and beer binge.

And last night (Saturday) Having a massive Halo 2 Fest mixed with Vodka Cruisers (lol) and a bottle of Balentines.
All of this on top of listening to some kickass tunes. Though my friends are all fans of Metalcore. (The more tasteful bands atleast) So I had to sit though some garbage.
