Yes, it's a brilliant RTS. A Power Metal song would suit it.

yeh its probably not everyones favourite, the only poor song on it is 'going bald' in my opinion though, theres some excellent ones like bastille day to balance that out. my point is its a fairly similar style to fly by night.

It's the same way with everyone else. The site has been down for more than 3 days.

I'd have to say so. It feels a lot more like older Rush, just progressive hard rock without the keyboards and such. It pretty well-produced, and the vocals are a lot clearer and lower (pitch-wise). Also it has three instrumentals. THREE FUCKING INSTRUMENTALS. that bit sold me, personally.

read wikipedia, it's not totally accurate but it gives you a basic understanding.
Give me technical terms, even if I don't understand them. I want to know, musically, what makes the difference. I don't want answers like "the feel of it all" or shit like that. Is it the particular riffs? Something about the voice? What?
"the feel of it all" is a very important part of metal. The theatricality and general over-the-topness in metal separates metal from wannabe genres. It's hard to explain, it just is.
ok im gonna attempt to answer the why is metal metal question. using fancy words n stuff...
basically its the whole idea of reaching for extremes. obviously the particular extremes vary between sub-genres. technical musical ability in speed & dexterity, emotional expression, atmospherical expression, shock-value in terms of lyrical themes, etc. etc. its also about going against the regular western ideas of concordant melody & harmony. this is often done by use of dissonance, use of chromatic rather than diatonic melodies or use of particularly 'heavy' sounding modes. basically its music that challenges the accepted notions of good and tasteful music TO THE EXTREEEEEME! ok so certain types of free-jazz and neo-classical music do the same thing, but metal does it using the rock band drum-bass-guitar-vokills format. heavy rock or hardcore punk in contrast dont reach this same level because theyre too....realistic.

I don't need to dress like a typical metalhead.
I don't know what a typical metalhead looks like. I just wear jeans and a tee shirt.

Not working. It sucks, because whenever I hear about a band I usually look them up on MA.
In terms of gameage, I've been playing Morrowind loads recently :).
Its very Prog... :).

I had been playing Oblivion until I got new games for Christmas. I'll be back on Oblivion when I'm done with them.
I never acually did much in Morrowind. only like one quest. I'm doing almost everything in Oblivion, though.
I think I'm going to clean out my(relatively small) music library and just start over by downloading entire albums only, and just delete any songs I can't stand listening to.
I've been Fab since the re-design,have you?

Oh man. Morrowind. Oblivion. My two favourite games in the world. I played the shit out of Morrowind, and still do, i love that game. I could go on and on about how much i loved it.
Oblivion was excellent too, and i played it for a summer and a few months after summer, but it just didn't have that same feel that Morrowind had for me. It is a really excellent, but it's hard to explain why i like morrowind more. it had less of a standard fantasy setting and quality, whereas oblivion had a setting similar to most fantasy games.
both are excellent games.

Oblivion is so fucking metal. What, with the demons, a dragon, (I wish you could fight him :[ ) vampires, zombies, awholefuckinglotofothercreaturesandpeopl e...ect.
I'm only a level 2 in it, I don't do quests that much. But I'm planning to.
Any genre of metal (aside from the pussy kinds) suits it.

I have it for the PS3, and its frame-rate isn't as bad as they say. It's only HL2's that fucks up sometimes.

It lags a lot. Portal, in which you can see yourself, is the best. For you see, she's very hot.

Portal and Half Life 2 if you haven't already played them are simply put excellent games. I saw little to no noticeable frame right problems in Half Life 2 as well so I have no idea what people are talking about. Orange Box is the most fun I've had on 360 and the games are like 2 years old.
