Charon, that is a great idea for one of those chain-post thingies that we like to do sometimes.

Why do YOU listen to the music that you do, my good sirs? Lyrical themes? Ex-fucking-treme technical riffzorage?

Don't make it a wall of text, just do a paragraph.

I believe it would be, "Auch, ich spreche kein Latein."

You use the negative article in place of nicht when referring to nouns. Nicht negates verbs and adjectives and such.

i know almost nothing of german, but i guess "Auch, Ich spreche nicht Latein." could be translated as "i speak not latin" instead of "i do not speak latin."

It literally means, "Also, I do not speak Latin." if it is used with the "kein".

Yes. I was in fact. In fact, I'm Greek. In fact, I speak it for the most part fluently, in fact. In fact, I like the phrase "in fact".

I also speak German and English.

Well, in high school we had a choice of five languages: Spanish, French, German, Latin, and Chinese. I took German.

Did you have a choice or were you forced to take Latin?

metalheads don't look anything like that. Most of the people here look pretty normal, albeit some of us have lacked haircuts for the past few years. Those are goths.

Unlike, say, punk or hip-hop style, there's no real set look for metalheads. Most fans, when not at a show, look relatively normal. The farthest most metalheads take is is wearing some baggy camo cargo pants, a band shirt of their choice and some long. At shows though, people can put on the corpse paint and gauntlets and shit or whatever.

It really depends on the preferred genre of the metalhead, however.

i, personally, wear slim straight jeans, vans slip ons (which are pretty ratty now), a plain small cotton tee, and a flannel shirt if it's a bit chilly. If it's really cold then I have a grey zip-up hoodie with an Ensiferum patch on the back that i can put over the flannel, therefore layering and getting an edge on the California winter.

sorry for writing an essay, i just got bored.

Hair, right? =P

Exactly, a Metalhead who really digs Thrash Metal is going to dress fairly differently from an avid fan of say Black Metal.

really? i would consider myself an avid black metal fan, and i would usually wear jeans, a t shirt (sometimes a band one mostly not) a sweater/hoody/zip top and trainers. i personally dont like the leather and black look of the "metalhead" it annoys me to think that people think we are all like that

Well, I stand corrected, I pretty much based my statement on the way my friends dress one of them being the biggest Thrash Metal fan evuh, and a couple others being very much into Black Metal.

My thrash friend dresses, well for lack of a better description 'Dimebag' style. While my BM friends dress more just simple black clothing (none of the leather or spike stuff though) with the occasional casual piece.

This is one of the things I love about Metal it's huge range of diversity between not only the music within the genre, but the fans too.

Polish immigrants? In Iceland?

Have Poland been exploiting the hell out of their right to go to a different country, or do the jobs just suck?

Anyways, I speak English, German, French, a little bit of Spanish, some Irish and a little bit of Japanese.
