There are plenty of other bands that can't, they're just not metal.

Sum 41, Green Day, Slipknot...

The only half decent song in there was Enter Sandman.

Assasain's Creed,

Let me just say Rock Band has many great songs. Just because it's not all Metal doesn't mean it doesn't suck.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_son gs_in_Rock_Band

I'd go into detail about all the great songs but I don't have time. Let's just say that the only shitty song is Fall Out Boy. While there's quite a few below average songs.

Sorry, I just prefer this game over Guitar Hero III (that game isn't even fun).

Another boring day.

Everyone just spends the day after Christmas fiddling with their new toys and such. Tomorrow shall be more exciting.

I'm going to have to agree. Rock Band is much more vaired, genre-wise. I mean, it's got Freezepop and Nine Inch Nails.

now that i see it has tom sawyer, welcome home and say it ain't so, i really want to play it hahaha

i played guitar hero three for the first time yesterday, it wasn't so bad. i got pretty good at Bulls on Parade, My Name is Jonas and Holiday in Cambodia (on easy lmao)

The second best album.

I'll look out for Virus then.

I can't believe how fucking heavy Buried is. It's like. Pure heaviness. With big ass balls that are like, two times the weight as how heavy it is. Buried is heavy as fuck.

Yeah, Bulls on Parade and My Name is Jonas are easy on Expert (just simple chords) while Holiday in Cambodia... Yikes.
They covered the version off the Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables Album (not the Single that everyone is familiar with).

List of songs in Rock Band

Meh songs:

"Cherub Rock" - Smashing Pumpkins
"Creep" - Radiohead
"Dani California" - Red Hot Chili Peppers

A few others. (such as Bon Jovi, The Who, ect.)

Good songs:

Run To The Hills - Iron Maiden
Enter Sandman - Metallica
"Detroit Rock City" - Kiss
"(Don't Fear) The Reaper" - Blue Öyster Cult
"Highway Star" - Deep Purple
"Paranoid" - Black Sabbath

All the others, I hate.

Amazing.
I mean, abso-fucking-lutely phenomenal. Epic melodies, tortured (and clean, too!) vocals, great atmosphere all around, even in the "heavier," more guitar-driven black metal parts.

Just got; Evile-Enter the Grave.

I must say, for thrash, it is quite refreshing. Listening to Machine Head got me thinking that thrash had become unoriginal. How wrong I was.

Indeed, they seem to be in the same vein as Mortification. Heavy thrash with death influences here and there.

Hey Guys, I'd just like to ask, What are your Thoughts on Chimaira?
I realize that they used to Absolute shit Metalcore.....
UNTIL...The Last two Albums, Chimaira, And Resurrection .

In my opinion, Those albums have got some Seriously Good tracks on them.

Since they got a New drummer, They've only really started to get their sound out properly.

I mean Check this shit, Watch the whole thing.

that's New Chimaira.

Hmm.

It seems Chimaira have set a new standard for all metal bands of the groove/thrash(ish) genre. Instead of continually become shitter and shitter over time, they seem to have...improved.

Not to mention that Mark Hunter has a really cool scream.

Their cover of Disposable Heroes, however, was diabolical.

They've got a New drummer, And the Guitarist, Which Is Actually Quite good, Finally Gets to Shine,Instead of the same 3 note Chugga-Chugga Shit stuff they used to do, Which I hate.

they still smack of generic metalcore for me, if your liking it then by all means continue to do so, however just doesnt do it for, its weird i have Reinventing Hell (or w/e its called) which is the Pantera best of and i quite enjoy that at times, buts its purely designed for live performance, i.e. to get people jumping around I like a nice bit of atmosphere and i like to lose myself in a song like a did with Dunkelheit the first time i heard it, god that was a good day

but is that what you want from music? instant appeal? Personally i enjoy having to listen to an album or track alot to really get into it and appreciate it, i would like to think that its this quality that sets apart real metal from other forms of popular music, you have to work at it and the rewards are infinitely greater

p.s. just incase that came across wrong the tone of this post is in calm and relaxed manner, like that of friendly discussion around a table at a late night poker game between friends who have a little bit more to drink then they should have, rather then a red faced rant from a butt hurt metalhead

cheers

Well, What I like In music is sort of, well hard to put In Words...(in English atleast, But I'm Gonna Try , Don't blame me if this comes out as nonsense)

I Like Different Music After What mood I'm in Really, In the last two weeks, I have listened To Both HIM, And Lustmord Obsessively, First HIM for Some Stupid reason(only one song really though haha) then Lustmord because I'm working on Getting into new Types of music. (Love Dark Ambient for some reason)

My favourite music though, No Matter what mood, Is Music that I can relate to.
Two Songs I love, And always will, Because I can Relate to them, Are :

Amon Amarth- Thousand Years of Oppression

Amon Amarth- The Sound of Eight hooves

I just get this Tingly
Feeling, And Sometimes I just have to Sit Down or something.

I think It's the Inspiration that makes the Music.

You can Make a love song, But If you don't really love someone, It will Be hollow, To Me atleast.

You can make a Song about Fighting, But if the Force the fight in the song is about isn't something you've faced yourself, Then To me, It's cold.

It's sort of the Depth of the Emotion that counts to Me.
Also, The Subject.

Now, I Hate Dragonforce, Because it's all OMFG DRAGONS HEROES, Because I hate when the good guys win.
I also hate Christ-Metal, Because I hate the Subject.

But on the other hand, I Love Black Metal, Blackened Death metal, Death metal,Melodeath, Folk, And thrash.

Because the Subject interests me.
Anti-Christian music Drives me on, And I like songs about stuff I like.

Now, Instrumental music, well that just varies, Always.
