Jets v. Broncos is underway as I type this. Denver is currently winning with the score being 3-0. There's still a fuckton of time left in the game, though.

Looks like the Broncos are onto something, I may have lost the pick but I sure am glad the Jets lost.

Tebow goes 9-20 with 104 yards and Sports Center is making him out to be the greatest thing ever. I'm not reminded why I absolutely hate that show. He's almost more of a running back than a quarterback. I don't even know what to say about him..

Not a single person in our pool predicted that Denver would beat New York. I'm stunned. What an upset for our pool. Everyone's 0-1 from what I can see!

Fuck, that's not even right. Jonthomsom drank Tebow's Koolaid. He's the one who's ahead right now. The mystery thickens!

It never fails. I pick Denver and they lose. I pick against them and they win. I'm picking against them from now on no matter what. I don't care if Tebow doesn't complete a single pass as long as they keep winning.

No matter how hard they try, St. Tebow lifted his team to victory by smiting the overhyped Jets defense into salt with a 20-yard TD in the last minute. His holy aura continues to surround the team to victory, except when they got eaten by the Lions of course. {Bible Joke}

In all seriousness, Tebow has been winning games and all, but there is no way that he can keep this up and expect to win games. You got to do a hell of a lot more than completing less than 50% of your passes and running out of the shotgun formation. Just because you beat the worthless Dolphins and overrated Jets doesn't make a winner just like that, let's see him do that against the Packers, Giants or even the Bengals {before you start, Travis, Week 2 doesn't count, Tebow wasn't the QB at the time.} and then he might get some more respect. Until then, they'll just get fat off of beating sub-par teams and blow chunks against the good teams.

At 11/18/11 11:47 PM, Travis wrote: The word:

Urban Meyer will be introduced as the OSU Head Football Coach in December after the NCAA hands down it's ruling.

You wish. Why would Urban Meyer take a job that going to be handicapped by possible NCAA sanctions? Getting a big name head coach =/= success down the road, just look what happened with Rich Rod as an example.

I feel sorry for everyone who OSU plays in the next 4 years if this is true because Meyer doesn't play that Tressel ball where we let teams stay within two TDs all day. Meyer will throttle anyone and everyone.

First off, you're a little off with Tressel, because Tressel would constantly find ways to run up the score if he could, especially against sub-par teams. And if Meyer was throttling teams all the time, then how do you explain in '07 when he lost to Michigan in that bowl game, and lost in '09 to Alabama in the SEC championship? I swear, you do remind me of Skip Bayless sometimes when it comes to either Ohio State or general hating.

Travis Bayless, I think that has a nice ring to it.

2 years from now, if this does happen... good bye SEC dominance.

Once again, that's not going to happen. As I said before, big name coach that had success before =/= success in the future, Plus, Ohio State is pathetic against the SEC all-time, and that likely wouldn't change anytime soon. I think this is just more hot air and tough talk from you, especially when Brady Hoke and Michigan is going to be on the rise the next few years, you are really barking up the wrong tree.

Whatever makes you sleep at night, I guess.

Not long ago ESPN trio featuring Skip Dumbass and some black woman who has obsession with Kobe and calls Hope Solo racist were discussing if Alex Smith is a elite QB. The guy just game managed for most of the season and they're calling him an elite QB?

This is why I can never take them seriously.

The Big Ten is a joke. Meyer is a good coach, but he is not going to turn wee into wine, especially at a shitty place like Ohio State.
Expect the SEC (the only conference in which its top teams play defense) dominance for a long time.

Oklahoma State lost in 2OT to Iowa State. It's just a sad day all around for them after losing their women's B-ball coach in a plane crash. And it basically ruins any chance for OU to head to the title game and basically sets up a rematch between LSU and Oregon/Alabama.

I wouldn't mind of watching Alabama vs LSU II for the BCS championship game, at least we all know that the game is going to be very competitive even though the final score may be 3-0.
Nothing against Oregon, but they will get raped by LSU again if they are in the tittle game.

Rich Rod was never a big name. He played in a weak ass Big East conference and never won a national title.

So? It wasn't like West Virginia was pathetic, they went to multiple BCS bowl games and also won them as well. Hell, a lot of teams were clamoring to get this guy out of West Virginia, and it didn't turn out so well. Plus, the Big East wasn't that bad a couple of years ago when Louisville, Rutgers and West Virginia were in the national title hunt.

More Ohio State ass-kissing.

... we almost got beat by Marshall under Tressel.

Your point being? That was just one non-conference game anyways, the rest of them they either thrashed teams {MAC schools} or get their asses handed to. {USC, Texas in Columbus.} Last time I checked, almost counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

You do know that people are allowed to lose games right?

Oh my lord, I never knew that./sarcasm.

I see more Michigan bias by the way.

If that's how you feel, then I see more Ohio State ass kissing from you. Now you sound like Kirk Herbstreit from a few years ago, where he would not stop talking about the Buckeyes.

You are pathetic, take your Michigan bias elsewhere.

Now this is the pot calling the tea kettle black right here, considering you keep saying that Braxton Miller is a super clutch QB, and completely ignoring the fact that Michigan {except for 2 games on the road} has been stomping some ass and taking names, while your Bucks keep falling apart to a .500 record.

I'm a Michigan fan, I speak what's on my mind and what I see. I'm not trying to be an ESPN analyst like you.

You say I do all kinds of "stupid" talk, but here you are talking like Michigan is going to be fantastic in the next few years.

Uh, yeah they are dude. This team is going to be loaded for at least the next couple of years or more, and considering that Brady Hoke is doing a pretty good job as coach, the sky's the limit. Plus, I do believe that we beat the tar out of a damn good Nebraska team, whereas you tanked a 21-point lead in the second half against the very same team. You sound like Michigan is a completely hopeless program of a few years ago, and it's not now.

Plus, you say that getting Urban Meyer would turn the Buckeyes into the Green Bay Packers of college football down the road, more or less, and all I'm saying is that it doesn't always work that way. Hell, you might not get him at all, then who's are you going after next if Meyer doesn't want the job at OSU?

Lol at the Michigan blindness and Mark May antics.

Sure thing there, Skip Bayless. Seriously, you should be debating Skip on First Take when you get the chance, because you 2 are like peas to a pod when it comes to asinine opinions. If you want to talk about the future of your team, then go ahead. As for me, I prefer to discuss the here and now when it comes to my teams, and then what comes after that, comes after that.

Maybe those scarlet and gray glasses are clouding up more than your vision after all.

For so long, you've had your fun. Now this time, I know that this is going to be an ass-whipping, 8 years in the making. Simply put, Michigan will compete, plunder and dominate the Buckeyes, count on it.

Now that I have got that mess out of the way, USC is basically having their way with Oregon, and if this keeps up, then I guess LSU and Alabama are going to meet for a second time in the championship game. Unless Oregon mounts a comeback in this game, then the championship trophy is going to stay in SEC country yet again.

Major upsets in the Top 10, OK State, Oregon, Oklahoma :(, and Clemson. The rankings are going to be LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, 1, 2, and 3 all from the SEC West. Now it's assured that we'll have to watch another dreadful, boring LSU/'Bama game for the Title.

I still think that If OK State can knock off OU they will be back in the Nat Championship discussion. It would be wrong to have just an SEC West championship game after the SEC championship game when both the SEC and Big 12 are having good football seasons.

But of course the BCS isn't meant to be fair now is it...

I know that. Although the way Ohio State has been playing, It's going to take a miracle just to keep it close, if not win it.

I'll make sure you know about it until they play again in 2012.

Noted.

Bengals lost again, and it didn't help that a TD was taken away by the refs on replay in the 4th quarter, which was pretty clear that it was a TD. {similar to the Calvin Johnson TD that was somehow called back last year.} Giving up big plays through the air throughout the game only made it worse, but at the very least, we've got the Clowns at home next week, we should win that game.

I guess Miami doesn't need Luck after all, now that they have won 3 in a row. I guess they must've missed the memo that you need to lose in order to get the first pick, either that or they really love Matt Moore, and their going to play hard for him instead of Chad Henne.
