Such a good set of night games.
The Chiefs and Patriots came down to the wire and so didn't the Packers and 49rs. I'll be at the 49rs and Broncos game later this year and hope for it to be a good one too.

For some reason I couldn't find this thread on the front page of C&C despite me having created it and it having only been posted to in the last couple of hours. Anyway, was at Wembley on Sunday. It was nice a couple of years ago when we had an offensive line not held together by string and gaffer tape

The Bears could not handle the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins were running wild all over the place.

True. The defense gave up (they should'nt have had Brock walk on them), but there where still some questionable calls by the refs.

The Dolphins started strong and than had some tough loses. They could go either way this year. It all depends on how well the New England Cheaters do with old man Brady.
I'm a never happy kind of football fan. Not even that happy in a win unless it's the Superbowl.
I thought that Denver's victory was mediocre. Their defense was almost flawless. Even on plays where they gave up yardage almost every pass was almost tipped at the line of scrimmage. They held up great and I really have nothing to complain about there at all.
Their offense was mediocre though. Yes, they hit a long touchdown pass, but it was a blown coverage. They scored on a trick play that worked out perfect too. They ran the ball pretty well throughout the game. All of those were good things.
Their quarterback play was still inconsistent. Throwing an interception while the receiver was barely covered was extremely disappointing.
Denver couldn't move the ball once the other team knew they were going to run. I was always brought up when I played that it didn't matter if the other team knew what your play call was going to be. Execute it anyway.
So yeah, ehh. They played hell of a game, but against a good team if they can't force the ball down someones throat with the run game and get better quarterback consistency they're going to be a easy team to beat. Hopefully they beat the Chiefs next week and shut me up though.
What do you guys think about Kareem Hunt?
He's not playing this week. He might not even be playing this year. Depending on how they approach this he may go the way of Ray Rice and be completely forgotten about in the NFL.

You can't do anything these days that even looks slightly questionable. They have cameras everywhere.

Looks like he might be done for the season.

Especially get in a shoving match that ends up with a 19 year old girl on the ground. Then coming back into the situation after leaving the scene a few seconds ago to kick her while she's on the ground.
Up to that point I thought he'd just get suspended for the year. Kicking someone while they're on the ground is a guaranteed way to lose your job for almost any profession.

Someone is going to get a good running back when he gets signed. As long as he can stay out of trouble. I guess this isn't the only fight he's gotten into this year. Chances are he won't be able to stay out of trouble for long.
I'll be sporting my Elway jersey at Levi Stadium this Sunday. This will be my first NFL game so I'm pretty excited. Looking for Phillip Lindsey to run crazy. Hoping for a good win!
Here is the biggest question so far, Who can stop Old man Brady and the New England Cheaters from winning another ring this year?
Let's bring this thread back to talk about some real FOOTBALL once again in a public setting.
The 2025 FBS National Championship game has been set between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
I'm putting my money on OSU as they've seemed incredible in A LOT of the games that they've played in minus the stinkers they had against Michigan and Oregon in the regular season.
ND has looked...fine, all things considered, but I have to ding them for their HIDEOUS loss against NIU of the MAC and the relatively weaker competition they've faced all year.
What do you guys think?

oof i thought this was a thread for the band American Football, lol.
Never thought that this thread would be revived again. Thanks for bringing it back.

I have already said my piece on Ohio State and their chronic underachieving and gross hypocrisy. But I can't ignore that they have NOW decided to play up to their potential. I can't help but think they have been given so much good fortune having a home playoff game against a historically overrated program in Tennessee, a perpetually soft Oregon, and a Texas team that beat themselves. (Somehow I can't help but think that Quinn Ewers was a Buckeye double agent this whole time, in jest of course)
If nothing else, OSU has made Notre Dame into a lovable underdog that everyone outside of central Ohio will be rooting for. Which of course means that OSU will win via Deus Ex Machina and convince themselves that Ryan Day is a great coach, when in reality, he is the college football equalivent of a gacha game whale who lucked out, only to get fired in 2-3 years when he can't repeat that strategy again, and Michigan bludgeons them again.
(That's assuming that Chip Kelly stays and becomes the heir apparent and underachieve like he always does)
Don't hate the player, hate the game. The NCAA and the power 4 conferences has enabled this bullshit.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
Quick thoughts on the Divisional Round:
I'd expect KC to wallop a Houston team that is falling apart, and reach their limits. I would imagine that the playoffs is the time where the Chiefs stop playing with their food and play up to their standards.
Commanders vs Lions is probably going to be the most back and forth game of the four. Between Jaylen Daniels playing at an elite level and Detroit having holes on defense, this should be a shootout. That said, I have more faith in Detroit's run game and home field advantage.
For a team that is elite, it always seems like there is a bunch of nonsense that floats around the Philadelphia Eagles. Yet, all that might be the ultimate rallying cry and I'm not picking against them at home. Now if they can get AJ Brown the ball more, just saying.
For the sake of my sanity, I do hope that Buffalo wins so that sports media can stop the dick-riding of Lamar Jackson being the second coming of Walter Payton and Tom Brady. Maybe instead of losing to the Raiders and the fucking Browns, let alone getting outdueled by Joe Burrow twice only to escape because of a missed kick and no-calls, Jackson can actually show up and not shrink under the pressure for a change.
When Baltimore loses again, what excuses are they going to come up with now?
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
More thoughts, this time the Conference Championship.
Let's pump the brakes on Washington. Jaylen Daniels cannot singlehandedly carry a flawed team to the Super Bowl as a rookie, especially against a far more healthy and physical Philly team at home. About the only way Washington makes it close, let alone win is to play perfect and hope Sirianni magically forgets about throwing the ball. They don't have to throw it that much, but with 2 elite WRs, there is no excuse not to give AJ Brown and Smith some catches.
If not now Bills, when? You have KC at their proverbial weakest and you've proven you have beaten them in the past (regular season) so this is the chance of a lifetime. Beating the overrated Ravens means nothing, but beating KC in Arrowhead will make you a legend.
Also, LOLRavens choke again. They are the Dallas Cowboys of the AFC, constantly unachieving will supposedly elite rosters. Can we please stop saying that they will eventually win a title when Lamar Jackson turns into Kirk Cousins in the playoffs? They were damn lucky to win just one on accident with a Joe Flacco throw, and haven't come close since.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
