Probably, but you would think that they would have a Sunday or Monday night game for a rivalry matchup, that's when the stadium is generally sold out. Although, with the Bengals at 6-2, tied for 1st place in the defense-heavy AFC North, people will quickly fill up the place, especially when the Browns and Steelers show up to play.
but it's crazy to me that we didn't get to be in any as a visiting team. I guess that's just the way things work. What makes it even worse is that teams with worse records than the Bengals, like the Rams, Dolphins, Cardinals, get to play in a decent amount of these games.
Probably due to the fact they have star players on their teams, or are expected to compete in the division they're in based off last year. They're made in advance, so you don't know who's going to play at what time. What I do know is that the Bengals will be getting more Sunday and Monday night apperences for sure down the road, considering how well they have played so far.
Plus, if memory serves me right, the Browns and the Bengals have never played each other on MNF. I mean, you would think that the Battle of Ohio would get at least a couple of MNF apperences during that time.
Is there a specific reason that we're getting the shaft like that? Is it a money thing?
I wouldn't say that, partly because the NFL tries to keep every team in equal footing money-wise. But when horrid teams like the Jags and the Browns get MNF apperences, the games tend to be horrible. Personally, if the NFL is going to put shitty teams on MNF, whether they're home or away, then they should make it that every team gets a Monday night game. {of course they won't do that, though.}
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
