Out of curiosity, how would you handle the QB situation in Minnesota if you were the head coach? Would you start Ponder or McNabb and remember they are playing the Pack.

I know it may seem random but who would you rather sit through watching on ESPN? Colin Cowherd or Skip Bayless?

Being how much they knew and think they know about football, I can never stand them.

I would rather listen to Skip Bayless and his unending love of talking about how the Cowboys are going to the Super Bowl under Tony Romo, which will never happen. When will they learn that Tony Romo is not a Super Bowl caliber QB, and never will be? Hell, the team around him isn't as good as everyone thinks it is.

Being how much they knew and think they know about football, I can never stand them.

Especially when both of them are such Cowboy honks, even though Dallas has won only 1 playoff game since 1996 and has only won the division 3 times since then.

Now that I have aired my Cryboy disgust, let's move on to something a little more important. Raiders trading 2 first round picks to the Bengals for Carson Palmer, in other words, everyone wins. Oakland can turn Palmer into a potentially the next Jim Plunkett, and for what they gave up, it better be, whereas the Bengals not only stockpile draft picks for the future, but got rid of that quitter in Palmer.

In the short term, the Raiders get their QB that will get them over the top in that division and maybe win a playoff game. Long term, the Bengals can only benefit by having multiple picks in the 1st or possibly the 2nd round to solidify their team, and judging on how they have drafted players over the last 5 years or so, the future looks really bright in Cincinnati.

I'm not going to hate on it per se, but the Raiders did give a lot to win now, {which is definitely not the first time they have done so, nor will it be the last.} but unlike in Cincinnati in the early years, Palmer doesn't have to shoulder much of the offense, considering he does have Run DMC in the backfield, and not have to worry about playing the Steelers or Ravens twice a year. Raiders are in a winnable division and it wouldn't surprise me if they do win a playoff game, depending on the matchup.

Even with his numerous amount of injuries, I still think he has a few good years left in him statistically and they aren't going to ask for him to do too much more than what Campbell did for them before, as long as Mcfadden doesn't go down of course. Long term however, the Bengals obviously won this trade, especially if next year's draft is as loaded for talent as they claim.

Oh, and the trade for Ronnie Brown to Detroit was voided when the docs found a brain tumor in Jerome Harrison. Yikes!

Didn't catch the game last night but pretty surprising that Syracuse could hang 49 on a ranked West Virginia team.

For today, No. 4 Oklahoma State at Missouri looks like a good match. Apparently Mizzou is leaving for the SEC and I can assume that the Pokes will take them to the woodshed. No. 11 Kansas State at Kansas for rivalry purposes will be a decent watch; expect K-state to roll. Mid-afternoon, No. 20 Auburn at No. 1 LSU is going to be interesting. LSU has three key players suspended for artificial marijuana in their system. We'll see if they can overcome that.

Night games include, Tennessee at No. 2 Alabama which I expect the Tide to Roll, USC at Notre Dame which I expect the Trojans to roll, and Texas Tech at No. 3 Oklahoma which I expect OU to roll. Also there is the No. 6 Wisconsin at No. 16 Michigan State game which is going to be close but I think Sparty is going to win this one. No. 25 Washington at No. 8 Stanford, I see no problems with Luck in dealing with the Huskies even thought Washington has been great with their own passing star Keith Price.

The way late game: New Mexico State at Hawaii.

Watching Miami (Ohio) take on Toledo on ESPN 3. Toledo is undefeated in conference play, so I'm really hoping for my school's team to be able to step up and wreck Toledo's homecoming. GO REDHAWKS!

Hahaha, not sure who I'd want to win that game. Got friends that go to both schools, so I guess all I can really hope for is a good game.

It's 35-14 right now as Toledo dominates this game. This isn't even fun for me to watch. I guess it's safe to say that Miami won't be repeating as MAC champions. Bummer.

Right next to the Notre Dame-Michigan game, this has certainly been the most exciting game this year, Michigan State might as well be the best team in the Big Ten now on both sides of the ball. As for Wisconsin, well this is just another choke by them yet again, this proves that they aren't National Championship material.

And Texas Tech is up 24-7 on Oklahoma, just now entering the 2nd half. They definitely need to step their game up, otherwise there is most likely another national champion coming out the SEC again this year.

It's not the fact that we lost that upsets me but rather losing at home because it just isn't suppose to happen.

I hope they can get it together to beat undefeated K-State in Manhattan and some how knock off OK State in Dec to at least get back to the Fiesta Bowl.

Instead of watching the Bears-Bucs in London, FOX {where I live} is airing the Seachickens and the Turds as it's early game. Really? Just one of those times where I hate having TWC, and only having 4 NFL games every Sunday.

Well, now that Oklahoma lost, what other team do you think that could challenge the SEC winner for the National Title? I would probably say that Stanford would be the best team outside of the SEC, and now have the best chance to break the SEC domination of the BCS. {which honestly isn't saying very much.}

Wah... go complain elsewhere.

They are showing the regional games... how it should be.

I honestly can't wait until week 12 when the Bengals and the Browns meet up again. Tensions are getting so high in this place, that I'm almost expecting a full out flame war between you two that ends with some bans by Reverend. Lmao.

Yeah Stanford is the only one. I would say Oklahoma State but they aren't going to win Bedlam. Maybe Kansas State if they win next week.

This Colts v. Saints game probably sounded way more interesting on paper when Peyton wasn't hurt. This game is so boring to watch. I'm seriously considering turning it over to Fox to watch the World Series...

Just stating the truth man. Local teams should be shown on local cable.

So even if it watching 2 horrible teams fight it out for a possible top 5 spot in next year's NFL Draft, they are still going to air it. And I don't live anywhere near Cleveland anyways, and yet they still air that game in southern Ohio, last time I checked Cleveland was way up north.

I know that the Browns fans are loyal and all, but at the same time, by going to those games, they continue to support a substandard football team, and an owner who has little interest in the game to begin with, and has no rhyme or reason to either draft or acquire very talented free agent players, and when they do, they either get burned out, or leave quickly. It honestly makes no sense why Browns games aren't blacked out because of their mediocre play over the years, and the Bengals games are, even when the few times they have done well.

As for the Week 12 game as ZJ mentioned, well I'll just let my team do the talking like they did in Week 1.

Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

I was busy watching the World Series because I knew the Sunday Night game was going to be bad but when I just flipped it over to it just now I'm a little shocked. 62-7 Saints with two minutes left in the fourth.

I know there is no run rule and that if you want to stop a team from running up the score you have to play defense but 60+ is just ridiculous. Hell, even when a SEC team is using a MAC team as a punching bag it isn't this bad.

The Saints didn't even really run up the score. They had backups in during several of those scores. Sometimes you just get rolling no matter what. Scoring on defense and busting big runs late in the game isn't purposely running the score up.

That isn't directed towards any of you. I just saw a bunch of whiners on the nfl site comments. :P I remember playing in game and getting up by 28 - 0 at the start of the 4th quarter. We only ended up winning by a missed extra point with the score of 28 - 27.

Wow, That is something you don't see everyday in the NFL. I would kind of expect that the Colts defense would have some pride and fight back, but I guess Brees really wanted to rip their hearts out, and the rest of the other organs out for that matter. You kinda have to feel a little sorry for Painter, taking that asswhooping like that.

I know there is no run rule and that if you want to stop a team from running up the score you have to play defense but 60+ is just ridiculous. Hell, even when a SEC team is using a MAC team as a punching bag it isn't this bad.

Maybe, but the defenders do get paid on the other side of the ball as well, and if you don't want them running up the score, then stop them. Then again, they're 0-6, and you are now basically cannon fodder to the Saints, {and to the rest of the league for that matter.} the only good news for them is that this is only 1 game in a 16 game season, although that is not really saying very much at all, but still.

I agree, but it has to be done with your backups after you get way ahead. It's not worth getting a starter hurt and the Saints did it perfectly in my opinion.
