My school is having its big rivalry football game today.
I'd say I'm excited, but I also know that my team is 0-3 right now...

So far, A&M is running all over Arkansas, in the Southwest Classic. Let's see if they can hold the lead this week.
Michigan State at Ohio State seems like a good match up in the afternoon. In the evening, I want to see if Clemson is legit. They are at Va Tech and we'll see how well they do. Of course the big match up tonight are Nebraska at Wisconsin and 'Bama at Florida games. I'm not giving the Cornhuskers a chance in Madison. For the other game, I guess I'll go with the Tide.
For triple option fun, Air Force is playing Navy right now.

We lost 27-0, which puts our total record at no wins with four losses.
It is a sad day to be a Miami (Ohio) fan.

Call me stubborn or whatever, but I'm am not buying Buffalo at all, partly because in their 3 wins, they went up against piss poor pass defenses, and they had to come back from big leads to win. Cincinnati is the best defense that they are going up against so far, and I have more faith in the Bengals defense, {which is ranked 3rd in total defense.}You want to talk about inflated stats. Bengals played Denver, Cleveland and San Francisco. These teams would probably struggle to strum up offense against Ohio State much less an NFL team.
That would be incorrect logic, because a pro team would run circles around Ohio State's football team any day of the week. About the only college defense that can hang with an NFL team would be Alabama or LSU, and even then they would get gashed badly.
The Bills played Oakland who managed to gank the Jets for 34 points and the Pats who are easily one of the best teams in the league. When they played the Chiefs the defense locked them down to one touchdown.
I think you must of skipped the part where I said that both the Raiders and the Pats have horrid defenses, specifically pass defenses, as for the Chiefs, well, nothing has gone right for them so far. Remember that Buffalo doesn't have that great of a defense either, and you can't go week after week falling way behind in the first half, and showing up in the second, because if that offense get stuck in the mud, so to speak, then what? You can't really expect to rely on a defense that is that porous in 2 out of 3 games.
The story will repeat itself. 8 wins in a row against Cincy turns to 9 on sunday.
Well, we all thought {except for you and the Bills} that Buffalo was going to lose to New England, and look what happened there. I can easily use the same logic in this case, when the Bengals beat the Bills. This could easily be a let-down game for the Bills, coming off the emotional high of beating Tom Brady at home, and then going on the road, expecting a cakewalk, when it is anything but.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

I lied. That match up was bad and OSU was almost shut out if it wasn't for a State blunder in the last 30 seconds. I guess they can't win without the vest.
And the AF Navy game was a pretty good game. Shame the Navy QB had to be a dumb ass and get that taunting penalty with cost them the XP.

All I can say about the Bengals win was "I told you so."
I must admit, when Buffalo scored 17 points in the second quarter, I feared that the Bengals would fall apart like they did in years past, but when Gresham snaged that 1 handed TD pass in the 3rd quarter, I knew that we were going to come back. Cincy's defense also did what no other team has done so far, and that was contain Fitzpatrick and Steve Johnson, and only gave up 1 rush TD to Jackson.
That's what you get for underestimating the Bengals at home. WHO DEY?
Oh, and the Browns and Buckeyes lost too, I think I'm going to party down tonight.

It has been a bad week for me as well. I already picked 5 wrong and it's going to be 6 after the Falcons vs. Seahawks. Other than the Packers vs. Broncos and Falcons vs. Seahawks, the other games are too close to tell right now, but they seem to be leaning slightly in favor of my picks.

Ha. You're right. If Miami doesn't pull out a win within the next two games, I'm out for this season. I'm not going to invest time, energy, and possibly money into a team that loses its first half of the season.

The field arrows are pointed in the wrong directions on one side. They are suppose to point towards the endzone. Could be the reason why the Jags are having trouble finding the endzone.

I was shocked to see the Seahawks coming back in the second half, but it was too little too late, so now I've already got 6 wrong. Now if the Bucs beat the Colts and the Ravens beat the Jets, my picks for this week will be 10-6, which isn't as shitty as I was expecting them to be with the way things started out for me.
It's hard to describe how the Bills game went for me.
At first I thought things were going well, our defense was bullying Dalton exactly as I had expected to and then some. Then comes the second half where the Bills flashback to 2010 and stop being able to bully anyone.
I could go on about how the Refs must have forgotten their orange jerseys at home what with the Tuck Rule saving the day yet again, the complete disregard for any interference calls on Cincy, and a bullshit call on a Stevie Johnson first down; but in the end i'm just really disappointed that we managed to blow it against a team we clearly outclassed. The offense was just stagnant the entire game and the defense failed to maintain its dominance.
I don't know how this bodes for the future but all I can say is that the outlook for our game @ Philadelphia just got a lot cloudier.

You really have nothing to gloat about yourself, Browns got their asses handed to by Tennessee. Not to mention the fact that Colt McCoy threw it 61 times is not a good sign, I would've thought that Hillis and the other RB would get more rushes than that. Don't forget that we beat you in Week 1, so the Browns are back in the basement on a technical level.
And if were doing geography here, how many fans outside of Northern Ohio think that the Browns have a shot at the playoffs, much less be a decent team? *crickets chirping*
Thought so.

I'm 11-3 with my picks as of right now and unless Rex Ryan turns it around, I'll be 11-4.
Still not a bad week. If I had some faith in my hometown's team, I'd have been 12-2.

Seeing Sanchez play horribly really made my night. Not only was he drafted into my high school's rival football team when I was a freshman (his parents were basically paid to have him attend that school), but I also played against a friend's team in fantasy football who had him as their QB. So naturally I'm not very fond of the guy.
I benched Michael Vick for some idiotic reason and played Fitzpatrick. But thanks to Sanchez, my would-be game losing decision wasn't so bad.
Picture related and shit.

The Bucs had me worried there for a bit but they managed to pull off the win so I went 10-6 for this week. Considering 5 of my 6 wrong picks were 1:00 PM games, I was expecting to do worse. Anyway, that puts me at a total of 42-22 now.

Tennessee at Pittsburgh -
Seattle at NY Giants -
Cincinnati at Jacksonville -
New Orleans at Carolina - Saints (Carolina isn't ready yet, Saints are too poised for an upset)
Oakland at Houston - Raiders (Houston slipped during the Steelers game, I think they fall here)
Philadelphia at Buffalo - Bills (Eagles woes continue against an offense that can and will fight to redeem themselves)
Kansas City at Indianapolis - Colts (Chiefs got lucky last week, they're still a mess)
Arizona at Minnesota - Vikings (They have to win at some point)
Tampa Bay at San Francisco - Bucs (Tampa is a tough team, the defense is too tough for San Fran)
NY Jets at New England - Jets (I think New York comes into this fired up and manages a tough one)
San Diego at Denver - Chargers (It's Denver)
Green Bay at Atlanta - Packers (Atlanta has struggled to win, they don't match up well here)
Monday
Chicago at Detroit - Bears (Chicago is a much stronger team than their record shows, and when they get a good lead their defense can keep it, Lions slip up and get their first L)
Ugh I knew I forgot something
Tennessee at Pittsburgh - Titans (I think Tennessee has more moxie than Pitt is playing with, they might just squeeze one out)
Seattle at NY Giants - Seahawks (Still don't think the Giants are worth much, Jackson is playing harder and better, maybe it pays off this week)
Cincinnati at Jacksonville - Bengals (Their defense is probably good enough to stop Jacksonville and since Jacksonville doesn't do much of anything well right now that will be more than enough)

Cincinnati at Jacksonville -
Bengals
New Orleans at Carolina -
Upset this week? Nope, I'm going with the Saints.
Oakland at Houston -
Even without Johnson, I've got the Texans at home.
Philadelphia at Buffalo -
Against my better judgement, I've got the Eagles winning.
Kansas City at Indianapolis -
Indy gets their first win at home over a dead dog KC team.
Arizona at Minnesota -
Minnesota also gets their first win at home.
Tampa Bay at San Francisco -
I don't really believe the 49ers are for real, so I've got the Bucs winning on the road.
NY Jets at New England -
Patriots get their revenge at home.
San Diego at Denver -
Chargers win, and it won't be close.
Green Bay at Atlanta -
Rematch of the NFC Divisonal Game last year, and it will have the same result as before, Packers win.
Monday
Chicago at Detroit -
First Monday night game for Detroit, they'll make it worthwhile. Lions win big.
Also, the NCAA has suspended 3 Ohio state players again, this time for being overpaid for there summer jobs, lol. Doesn't matter anyways, because even with them on field for the Bucks, Nebraska is still going to drill them pretty hard.
