Yea right

Hahaha. My college roommate is one of the biggest Colts fans in the world and he's been telling me all day how Indy can pull out a win tonight. I'm going to laugh at him when they don't. :D

Recently, I've been conflicted when watching Pittsburgh play. On one hand, I was born in Cincinnati and don't like cheering for my hometown's rival in NFL games, but on the other hand, Ben Roethlisberger is an alumni of my college, so I feel like I kinda have to cheer for him. I'm always go back and forth on how I feel about the team.

I am sorry, Time Warner Cable is an unreliable piece of shit at the worst of times.

I remember them knocking out the cable during NCAA March Madness and today there were problems thoughout the Cleveland-Miami game.

I mean come the fuck on. I personally want Directv or some other service. Time Warner is awful.

Also, I felt your pain. I noticed several moments today where "technical problems" would pop up on the screen and make it so that I couldn't watch the game. Thankfully I had my laptop with me, so I was never without the score or updates, but it was annoying. I expected better from a major service like that.

I sure hope not. I'm thinking the Ravens just had a bad game last week and they're going to do good this season. I won't be too happy if I'm wrong about that.

Me too. I picked the Steelers to win but I'm still rooting for the Colts in this game.

How so? Even I said that the Bengals weren't going to have a good season, if that what's you're thinking.

Anyways, I really do feel your pain for having Time Warner Cable, considering I have TWC myself, and I am not too crazy about having cable and only having 4 games on a Sunday, not to mention the fact that they do cut off service from time to time for whatever reason. About the only reason why I still have it now is because I want to watch TV when it rains/snows/storms, which you can't get on Directv or Dish.

And Pittsburgh and Indy is tied 13-13, deep in the 4th quarter. I guess the Colts now decided to show up now that Peyton Manning is not under center.

So, Steelers win, but not in the way I imagined. I sincerely thought the Colts were going to pull off the upset tonight. They looked like a team that finally knew how to play without Peyton. I'm proud of them. I think they can do well in the future.

I'm 9-6 with my picks for week 3. At least I'm doing better than I did in week one.

That was nice to see. I remember, last season I think it was, when Haloti Ngata put a hit on Ben and broke his nose. When I saw that crooked nose with blood running out of it, I giggled like a school girl. I still love Bart Scott for that big hit he put on Ben a few years back. There's nobody I'd rather see take a big hit than Ben or Hines Ward. I love it when someone knocks that shitty grin off of Ward's face.

Well, if Collins didn't get injured, I think they would have pulled it off. Painter really fucked up on that pass to Garcon, which would have been an easy TD. I honestly expected the Steelers to destroy the Colts, so I'm at least happy that the Colts put up a good fight.

So far the Redskins vs. Cowboys game hasn't been very exciting. It's been all field goals so far, I'm hoping to at least see a couple touchdowns in the second half.

Bob said that as a Miami University student, I should say these words to Ben Roethlisberger if he ever tries to return to our school. I laughed a lot after that. :D

Seriously WTF?

I wonder how that's going to go down with those kids at Thanksgiving, knowing that mom was responsible for vacating their teams wins.

Although I think the act of vacating wins in general is bullshit, unless the refs fuck up so much with the calls. Taking away wins from a school because of some dumbass on the team or whoever didn't know the rules is simply screwing the school and the rest of the team over. Just go look what happen to USC as an example.

I still don't believe in Buffalo at all, the bottom is going to fall out on them sooner then later. Going with the Bengals at home.

Tennessee at Cleveland -

I've got the Titans. Chris Johnson is going to have a huge game running the ball against that bad Browns D.

Minnesota at Kansas City -

This is going to be tortuous to watch. Going with the Chiefs at home.

Washington at St. Louis -

Going with the Rams at home, because if it isn't now, then it's probably never.

New Orleans at Jacksonville -

Saints in a blowout

Pittsburgh at Houston -

I see the Texans bouncing back at their house.

San Francisco at Philadelphia -

I have the Eagles winning

NY Giants at Arizona -

I've got the Giants. They play a lot better when they're under the radar.

Atlanta at Seattle -

Got to go with the Falcons.

Miami at San Diego -

Go Chargers, Go.

New England at Oakland -

Against my better judgement, I'm going with the Patriots.

Denver at Green Bay -

Packers, 'nuff said.

NY Jets at Baltimore -

Got to go with the rat birds...err, Ravens at home.

Monday
Indianapolis at Tampa Bay

Buccaneers win, and I don't think it will be close.

Detroit at Dallas - Detroit (Dallas is trash, they can't handle a team that plays with the energy of Detroit)
Carolina at Chicago - Chicago (Not even the Packers at Soldier Field is a sure thing, Chicago will get their act together at home)
Buffalo at Cincinnati - Buffalo (They couldn't even beat us when they were good and we sucked, I don't expect the trend to shift)
Tennessee at Cleveland - Tennessee (Their playing better football right now but I think this will be a lot closer that some people expect)
Minnesota at Kansas City - Minnesota (Vikings play hard until the 4th quarter, Chiefs just can't catch a break, Vikings have more of their shit together than KC)
Washington at St. Louis - Washington (St Louis is stagnant, Redskin defense wins this game)
New Orleans at Jacksonville - New Orleans (Barring a star studded Gabbert day New Orleans finds no trouble outmatching the Jags on offense)
Pittsburgh at Houston - Houston (I think this team is getting to be a real competitor, and they prove it at home)
San Francisco at Philadelphia - Philadelphia (Eagles offense hasn't been performing as well as expected but SanFran is awful)
NY Giants at Arizona - Giants (Even the Giants can't beat this sorry Cards squad)
Atlanta at Seattle - Atlanta (Falcons better enjoy these easy matchups while they last)
Miami at San Diego - San Diego (See above)
New England at Oakland - New England (Oakland is a good team but New England is better)
Denver at Green Bay - Green Bay (One of the leagues worst against the super bowl champion, no contest)
NY Jets at Baltimore - Jets (Baltimore is too inconsistent to bet on at this juncture)
Monday
Indianapolis at Tampa Bay - Tampa (Blount finally gets his big day and Tampa begins to show why they are the real deal in the NFC South)

I must be the only one who is actually giving the Bengals a shot to beat the Bills. Call me stubborn or whatever, but I'm am not buying Buffalo at all, partly because in their 3 wins, they went up against piss poor pass defenses, and they had to come back from big leads to win. Cincinnati is the best defense that they are going up against so far, and I have more faith in the Bengals defense, {which is ranked 3rd in total defense.} than the Bills offense which was inflated by playing poor defenses. Speaking of defenses, Buffalo is ranked 26th overall, and has given up 73 points as well, not good.

Now if Buffalo can go to Cincy and win convincingly, then I will believe that they are for real. But I can't see that happening, especially since they haven't really been punched in the mouth like the Bengals will do to them this Sunday. History has shown us that the Bills have always fell back to Earth sooner than later, and they when they do, they fall down hard.

You want to talk about inflated stats. Bengals played Denver, Cleveland and San Francisco. These teams would probably struggle to strum up offense against Ohio State much less an NFL team. The Bills played Oakland who managed to gank the Jets for 34 points and the Pats who are easily one of the best teams in the league. When they played the Chiefs the defense locked them down to one touchdown.

The story will repeat itself. 8 wins in a row against Cincy turns to 9 on sunday.
