What? No one is going to gloat that the Bengals knocked out the Chargers out of the playoffs. Chiefs clinch the AFC West.

Also, I guess the Giants wasn't over their meltdown last week; Green Bay totally destroyed them.

And, the Tuesday game. The Eagles-Vikes game should have gone on as planned tonight. It would have been a sight to see.

I rather not gloat considering the Bengals are 4-11, but with that said, Kiss my striped ass San Diego, that's what you get for starting slow. As for the Bengals, all I can say is, why didn't they do this eariler in the season?, If they done all this eariler in the season, then we would be division champs by now.

Also, I guess the Giants wasn't over their meltdown last week; Green Bay totally destroyed them.

They need to stop turning over the football, If they can hold on to the ball, they're hard to stop, but when Eli throws picks and the RBs fumble the ball like a hot potato, then they shoot themselves in the foot, often more than once.

And, the Tuesday game. The Eagles-Vikes game should have gone on as planned tonight. It would have been a sight to see.

Hmm, something tells me that either God hates the Vikings, or the NFL had gotten cold feet {pardon the pun}, and postponed the game until Tuesday, my guess would be a little bit of both.

Those of you not watching FIU-Toledo are missing one hell of a game.

Response to American Football Discussion 2010-12-27 00:40:02

Wow, Little Caesars Bowl, best bowl game so far. Loved when Toledo went for two to go for the lead, just to have FIU march down the field, convert on a 4 and 17 with a hook and lateral, to win with a FG. Amazing.

I really hope more bowl games are like that. :)

Seriously. At first it looked like he was short on the 4th down too, but the ref had a good eye.

I'm too distracted by Denver beating a mediocre team with their rookie quarterback to care about the Chargers getting kicked out. Good job to the Bengals though. It's my mother's favorite team.

I actually only picked the Giants because I thought Rodgers would be out for another week.

I would have loved to see this game in the weather. It would have been amazing.

I was at Paul Brown Stadium when the Bengals ended San Diego's road to the playoffs.

I'm sorry that I ever doubted them. That game was beautiful. Simpson is a beast.

What do you know, I was there too in the nosebleed seats. The one home game I go to every year, and at least they finished strong, but I kinda pictured this game was for Home-Field Advantage in the AFC about 6 months eariler.

Yeah, I feel kinda stupid for not picking them. At least now, we don't have to worry about Carson Palmer's job status anymore.

I choose Kitna over Garrard figuring he would do more against Ari (until he broke his hip), Thomas sucked last week so I wasn't about to start him, I figured the Jets Bears game was going to be a low scoring one so I scratched Knox, and I thought Rogers would be a little off cue after his concussion. A perfect storm of mistakes and misjudgments. :/

Also, 29 fucking points for a fucking kicker? Where was this earlier in the season, Seabass!?

Whatever, it's been a great season and it was pretty fun. I might have to do it again next year.

I'm surprised that Shaun O'Hara made it.

I mean he was out for some time and yet he somehow made the Pro Bowl roster. Snee and Tuck deserved it though.

At the very least, they could've have should some damn effort out there and tried to make the game close, if not win them, with the exceptions of the Independance and the Pizza bowl games, where they were actually close games. Being outmatched is one thing, but for some, it's almost like they don't want to be there for some reason.

And a big WTF? to Missouri right now. Why aren't these guys blowing out an overrated, talent-stripped team in Iowa that couldn't stop Pryor on a 4th and 10 to win the game, is way beyond me. I don't know how they beat Michigan in Ann Arbor, and then turn around and tank the rest of the season the way they did, and now finally show up to play tonight.

You had Boise State and Air Force picks correct. TheSongSalad is kicking everyone's ass with 8-2 picks at the moment. I'll post an update in a couple of days.

As for the bowl games, I'll think they will start picking up when we reach the larger schools (except for the miserable Champs Sports Bowl :/). Out of tomorrow's games, I'm interested in the Alamo Bowl between the OK State and Arizona. Hopefully it'll be high scoring shootout.

I think both of us will remember that sometimes, even in Fantasy, the difference between winning and losing is 1 yard

Of course I'm going to remember that matchup for a long time. I remember it ended up being .08 due to one of my QBs started kneel down at the end of the game. I remember shouting at the TV for him not to go backwards so much, heh.

You know if you had won that game you might end up in the the bottom bracket away from illuminate and then could have beaten him this week.

Oh yeah, Mizzou is up by four now.

Yeah i would say this was one of my best fantasy football teams i've had though i won my league now 3 years in a row just the fact of having the 2 MVP QBs in Brady & Vick then 3 of the top 5 leading rushers in Foster,Jones-Drew & Turner along with the best reciever in the game in Andre Johnson and reciver that led the league in TDs in Bowe then 2 of the best defenses in the league with the Steelers & Jets, overall just a perfect team. ^_^

Next year i hope to get a 12 team league going. :)

Philadelphia played flat last night against the Vikings, which could be a bad sign because they have to play 2 more games within 13 days. Vick also had a game which he'll probably want to forget, throwing some Int's and some near Int's to a crappy Minnesota secondary, along with getting sacked a lot as well.

With Philly's loss, Chicago has clinched the 2nd seed and a bye in the playoffs, which is a scary thing for the rest of the NFC, considering last time they had a bye in the playoffs {'06}, they were in the Super Bowl. {I know that doesn't mean much at all, but still.} The offense has certainly changed over the years, but the core of that defense is still intact from 2006, and the rest of the NFC better watch out.

As for the Insight Bowl, I can't believe that Missouri, the #12 ranked team in the nation, the same team that took down Oklahoma, fell apart to an overrated Iowa team that was in total free fall after their defensive gaff against Ohio State, and have nearly half of their team suspended as well. I guess we were too quick to give Missouri national respect, especially when they couldn't handle a 4th quarter lead against a crappy Iowa team.

Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Picking up Vick was the difference maker. If he wasn't the top fantasy points earner this season, he was close to it.

I'm just going to cram everything into this post. Updated through the Armed Forces Bowl which was pretty good. I thought SMU would pull off the comeback but they just came up short. The Alamo Bowl last night on the other hand wasn't too pretty.

The Pinstripe Bowl isn't too shabby halfway through, however the field at Yankee Stadium looks bad. Also a SEC finally plays tonight in the Music City Bowl with Tennessee and anything that isn't a total blowout is a victory for Washington in the Holiday Bowl.

I was probably too short though at 5 foot 11 inches. I had the body of a running back for sure.
