That would be neat i love the NG FF just cause it's hella competitive and most everyone from first to last (except maybe one or two) try their best to win week in and week out.

The NFL Pro Bowl is going through some big changes.

Thoughts? I think it's actually worse off now. If you were to have players from the same team playing against each other, wouldn't that create an even bigger incentive to not play hard in the Pro Bowl?

I think it would fire up friendly competition if the unlikely scenario that two players in directly opposite positions would face off. Who wouldn't want to show off against teammates? They wouldn't be pro bowlers if they weren't competitors. If anything I think this won't change anything rather than make a positive or negative effect. It might make the pageantry a little more fun with the draft.

I understand that, but let's say Andy Dalton and Geno Atkins are playing against each other in the Pro Bowl. Do you really think that Geno is going to attempt a potentially-injuring massive sack against his own QB to prove that he's a competitor?

It's situations like that that make me think that this event is still pointless even with the changes.

Of course, that is if they play hard in the Pro Bowl to begin with, especially on defense. The competitive aspect would still be slim to non-existent anyways, so it'll probably be no different than specialized positional competition, {similar to Elite 11 with High School QBs} or a skills competition, which they should go towards instead.

It's football, {in a way} so people are still going to eat this up for what it's worth. Considering the circumstances, they should at least show a skills competition like they do with the NBA, which may add some legitimacy with the event, but not by much.

This is one of the best HOF classes I've ever seen.

I don't think Alabama will make it to the championship game this year. I think they'll crack under pressure again in a game and go 12-1 into Bowl Season. However, unlike last year, there will actually be two undefeated teams ahead of them that'll play for the National Championship.

Also the little prestige Cleveland had was sold to Baltimore, not much they can do now.
