Really sad to hear that Pat Summerall passing away today. He was a really nice counterpoint to John Madden in the booth and shows that you don't have to be over the top to be a great announcer.

Bengals got a really tough schedule this year.

Visits from the Packers and Patriots are going to be hard on this team and I can't say that I'm looking forward to two games against the current Super Bowl Champions. If there was ever a year for a team to step up and prove it belongs in the playoffs, this is it.

The only good news is that most of the toughest games are at home, while the more manageable ones are on the road. Of course, this is the NFL, and teams can change records from year to year, so that's something to keep in mind. In fact, I'll go one step further, if we want to win the division and go deep in the playoffs, now's the time to do it. Baltimore has lost a lot of key players from their Super Bowl run, Steelers are rusting away, more or less, and the Browns are the Browns, always getting in their own way.

Getting Tyler Eifert is a good start.

Definitely a steal for Cincy

I feel like a lot of teams went full retard in trying to do the safe thing and draft O lineman who would've easily been available in the 2nd, and even 3rd rounds. The Vikings raked in some great prospects as did the Rams.

I'm not too happy with Buffalo's pick. Manuel isn't familiar enough to me and QBs of his nature make skeptical irregardless of the success of Wilson and RG3. I would've rather we took Austin with the 8th and let Nassib or Smith fall to us in the 2nd.

I'm still optimistic nonetheless and feel like we've got some great picks in the second.

Geno Smith is with the Jets. Their quarterback situation just turned into more of a clusterfuck.

LOL.

Also Manti the Charger. Hmmmmm

The Jets would be retarded to start Mark Sanchez, no one is calling for him to keep his job. Rex Ryan will start Geno Smith if he knows what's good for him.

I personally hope he doesn't so the Jets are shit for another year

The Jets just traded Revis, let's see if Rex has the nerve to claim the Jets will win the SB. The Jets management can burn in hell for all I care, trade Revis, they better hope luck can happen now.

Not even if hell freezes over will the Jets win a SB as long as Rex Ryan is head coach. It wouldn't surprise me if he does get fired during this season, considering how bad this team is. If it isn't for their defense, the '76 Bucs and '08 Lions might have some company for the 0-16 season.

I really do feel bad for Geno Smith sinking all the way down to the east coast version of the Raiders, not just being snubbed in the first round for borderline slander on some questionable scouting reports. The sooner they get rid of Sanchez {Butt Fumble} and Tebow {JaMarcus Russell without the bad behavior}, the better, and that's only the tip of the iceberg.

the cfl

pretty happy with the raiders draft. trade was a bit spewy, could easily have extracted a 4th/5th out of the dolphins but meh, it's much, much better than anticipated. plus they took the guy that grew up 10 miles from where i live, which is nice. naturally it's bandit country.

San Francisco and Houston to host Super Bowls L and LI respectively.

I don't really care about Houston's bid, but I do think that San Francisco is going in a really cool direction. Apparently they're going to try going in a paperless high-tech experience which sounds badass.

I can't see Tebow playing QB if he does make the roster, which means he'll most likely will be a fullback or tight end in the red zone.

In other news, Chad Johnson is going to jail for 30 days after his domestic violence plea fell through after, get this, slapping his lawyer in the ass, and the bitch of a judge threw out the plea. Granted, that wasn't a good move to do in a courtroom to do, but that jail sentance was absolute garbage, and should be thrown out.

She should be lucky he doesn't headbutt her, lol.

If he makes it to the roster, cue the brain dead Tebowtards whining on how he should have been the starter and sports writers making speculations that his fanbase might have been the reason why the Pats won't start him while ignoring that he sucks.

Now that the Ravens' second SB rings were given out, notice how they practically used the same logo from the first ring? All the way down to the ruby eye, guess you gotta make it gaudy as possible because in the end, they're not rings, in fact they're miniature trophies that you can wear on your finger.

Glad Ed Reed finally got his.

Anyway, long much longer will the white gold trend last?

Not to mention the number of regular season wins from the past three SB champs - 10, 9, and 10.

Also it's old news but in case you missed it, Nate Kaeding retired. So much for my prediction that he'll get his ring before Philip Rivers (I still hope he ends up with the same amount as Dan Marino).

It's going to be pretty boring compared to the last time they were on it. We don't have many characters like Chad Johnson on our current roster.

I would've thought that he would go from a tight end to a wide receiver in prison, whatever.

Tebow must've brought the circus from the Jets to the Patriots, because there would be no way that Belichick would allow something like this.....oh right, Spygate. If nothing else, New England is used to controversy that it doesn't even faze them anymore, considering that they win their division every year and go deep into the playoffs, but surprisingly, no Super Bowl wins.

Makes me wonder how they're going to pull this one off this time.

when he gets to prison, he'll go from a tight end to a loose end.

He's a freakishly big and athletic latino gangbanger. I don't think he has to worry about the elasticity of his butthole in prison.

Now they upped the charges to first degree murder for Hernandez, this will certainly not end well for him unless his lawyers pull an OJ Simpson, and find a way to acquit him.

Just listening to he DA's testimony at the hearing it's pretty damning.

Around 2:30 a.m. that same day, the prosecutor said, the 27-year-old Lloyd was last seen leaving his Boston home with Hernandez in a silver Nissan Altima.
Less than an hour later, surveillance cameras at the North Attleborough industrial park showed the vehicle heading toward the remote area where Lloyd's body was later found, McCauley said.

"The car goes down there at 3:22," McCauley said. "Four minutes later, the car is visible again. During the interval between 3:23 and 3:27, people who were working the overnight shift hear gunshots."

"The defendant goes walking through the house with the gun in his hand. That is captured in the video. ... And they all go down to the basement," McCauley said. "Once in the basement, the surveillance gets shut off."

Investigators later found five shell casings at the scene. Inside [LLoyd's] pocket, McCauley said, they found a wallet and keys to a car that Hernandez had rented.
