I don't blame you for not watching or caring about this little bowl games at all, as personally, I think there are way too many of these damn bowl games already, although to be fair, some of them tend to be pretty good, on a competitive level, at least.

Regardless, the first bowl games are on tomorrow, here's hoping that the early games don't suck.

I doubt I'll watch any of them until the Championship. I might catch bits and pieces of them, but, honestly, I couldn't give a damn about who wins the Chick-Fil-A Bowl or whatever.

Also, the Bearcats' new coach is a huge dick apparently lol.

So, the AFC is narrowing down its list of potential playoff teams as the Bengals, Steelers, and Dolphins all fight for the #6 seed. The Colts need a win to secure their #5 seed and the Ravens need a win to win the AFC North. Fun times ahead.

The NFC is a mess, though. Can't wait to see who takes the NFC East between the Redskins, Giants, and Cowboys.

Calvin Johnson broke one of Jerry Rice's records, having the most receiving yards for a season, and he still has one more game to go after tonight, does he get to 2,000 yards receiving? I say that he does.

The only real shame is that his team is 4-11, and was lumped in with a trademark Lions losing streak, and this is a team that made the playoffs last year. Although to be fair, just about everyone else on that team either quit, got cut or injured during the season.

Then there's the fact that Suh is more interesting in injuring players than becoming a great defensive player. Even Flozell Adams wasn't that dirty (though he's still a douche).

Don't underestimate the Seahawks, there is a good chance they have enough fire to get to the SB. That would suck for Tatapu though, but injuries can really wreck your career.

They probably have the best defense going into the playoffs, especially when they get Browner back from suspension and Sherman getting away with PED use when the sample was tampered with, not to mention the running game from Marshawn Lynch and the O-line.

That said, Russel Wilson might be the reason why they don't make it, because as good as he's been, {largely due to the defense, running game and a lot of luck} rookie QB's usually don't fare well in the playoffs.

I'm surprised to see Ken Whisenhunt lose his job. I know the Cards have been awful since their superbowl appearance but Whisenhunt did get them to the superbowl. I'm sure someone will get him soon though he might not get a head coaching job.

I'm glad Buffalo dumped Gailey. He's too conservative and the Bills need a younger, hungrier coach to take them all the way.

I'm not entirely surprised to see Norv get fired but I thought he would get just one more year. Now Lovie is a surprise. Sure they didn't make the playoff but did get 10 wins. What more can you want?

Oh the Jets. More things change, the more they stay the same.

Is it just me or is none of the New Year's Day bowls are interesting. The only thing that would keep me interested is not seeing Northern Illinois getting run out of the stadium by the half in the Orange Bowl. Georgia is going to win, South Carolina is going to win, Stanford is going to win, and FSU is going to win; it's all a question of how much.

A Super Bowl title perhaps? Granted, Urlacher's injury doesn't help but they really need to stock up the O-line.

Oh the Jets. More things change, the more they stay the same.

All the Jets cares about is making moves that gives them attention, not the ones that helps them to become an actual title contender. They're pretty much coasting on Joe Namath's guarantee and since then, hype is all they live for since this is the same team that signed some washed up stars few years ago and acts like they're the hot shit.

When you miss the playoffs 5 out of the last 6 years, especially how they were 7-1 at the halfway point and led the league in turnovers, only to miss the playoffs at 10-6, that's pretty much grounds to get fired. Lovie is a good coach, but the Bears are almost entirely reliant on their defense and the occasional special teams play to get their wins, and you can really win in the NFL doing that.

Oh the Jets. More things change, the more they stay the same.

I've already stated my position on the Jets many times before. They will never be a Super Bowl contending team as long as Rex Ryan is coach, mostly due to the fact that he runs an antiquated system of football on offense, with the combination of horrid QB play and piecemeal talent at RB and WR. The success of the first 2 years under Ryan were simply nothing more than a fluke, and the last 2 years have proven this.

My playoff prediction:

NFC - 49ers

AFC - Broncos

Darkhorse - Seahawks

Marked for "Death" - Falcons (they practically hexed themselves by dropping a game to Tampa Bay)

Still can't overlook the Patriots however.

Just another silly embarrassment for the Jets, it's getting to the point where this is simply getting obnoxious stating the obvious dysfunction of one of, if not the worst ran franchise in the NFL right now, and when your franchise is more dysfunctional than the Browns or the Cardinals, that's when you have problems.

Anyways, I really do think that the BCS bowl games this year have been a joke. Stanford was obviously going to beat a 5 loss Wisconsin team, who are pretty much the equivalent of the Bills of the early 90's, get to the big game, only to choke every time. Florida State beating down a NIU team that absolutely did not belong, and proved that Oklahoma got robbed in the bowl selection, Oregon and K-State was anti-climatic, especially when Thomas ran in the opening kickoff for a TD, which pretty much spelled the end for the Wildcats, and a Florida team that stunk up the joint, losing to Louisville the way they did.

We still have the title game left, but I've got to imagine that Notre Dame's luck is going to run out when they play Alabama. I would be surprised if Bama doesn't win by more than 10 points.

Just watched Kent State fail to get their first Bowl victory. Sucks to be them. :P

Also, I can't wait for the National Championship tonight. I personally want Notre Dame to win to break the SEC's stranglehold over the National Title, but I have a feeling that Alabama is going to crush them. Who's with me?

BCS Championship Predictions! Let's hear 'em!

Notre Dame - 13
Alabama - 9
AL will be taken by surprise how good the ND defense is, and how hard it is to score on them inside the 20's. ND needs to keep playing their defense. On offense, they need to hit the TE and avoid getting hit in the backfield to keep the ball going forward and the drives alive. One or two big plays on offense and/or special teams will make the difference in this one. We're in for a great show, regardless who wins.

So far, the Fighting Irish are getting bitchslapped by a more superior Alabama team, which in all honesty, was probably going to happen. Notre Dame is a vastly overrated team that got lucky a few times in the regular season, especially against teams like Michigan and Pitt, who should've beaten them. I was hoping that they would be somewhat competitive with that defense of theirs, but so far, they have been toast, or more apropos, Te'ost.

I'm not going to write them off making a game out of it, but at this point, I greatly doubt that, especially if the Irish offense can't move the ball past their own 50, eerily similar to last year's title game.

everything had to go right, and everything has gone all but. haha kinda wish we could've scheduled a team from the SEC just to get a faint of an idea of what they hell we were goin up against.

Well, it probably wouldn't have mattered that much, considering how they demolished everyone they faced with the definite exception of Texas A&M and possibly against Georgia in the SEC title game. I don't think anyone can doubt that Notre Dame had an excellent season, {by recent standards, at least} but the hard fact remains that in nearly half their games, they were more lucky than good on that day, and their luck has run out tonight.

And you want to know a scary thing, Alabama is only going to get better next year, {that is if most of their junior players stay} because the Tide can easily replace many of their players that leave via recruitment. Not saying that they will win again next year, but barring some sort of slip-up, they will be back to the title game again. It really does look like that everyone else outside of the SEC has came in against the king in Alabama, and they all have missed.

On another note, I'll give out my predictions for the NFL divisional rounds early. {in no particular order}: New England, Atlanta, Green Bay and Denver.

Who do the 49ers fans make a death threat to this time after the Packers beat them?

My picks for the week, I went 2-2 last week but didn't post my picks. Here are my picks from last week. If I went with all the favorite teams to win I would be 4-0 like most of you are but I like to try to be different and I went for the underdogs in the games.

Bengals over Texans= Wrong

Vikings over Packer= Really Wrong a Packers team I hadn't seen all season came out to play and their defense showed up, plus it was a given that the Packers were gonna win this game when they announced Joe Webb was starting. I made my pick before knowing Joe Webb was starting. If I knew that I would have never picked Vikings. It's not all Joe Webb's fault because he barely had any practice as the Starter but he was forced into a tough situation.

Ravens over Colts= Right and the game went exactly how I thought it would with Ravens defense shutting down the Colts offense.

Seahawks over Redskins= Game went way different than I thought it would for a Seahawks win, they were down 0-14 in the first quarter but then that defense everyone knows from the Seahawks showed up after that and completely shut down the Redskins offense. I don't know how good Seahawks really are tho since RG3 should have been taken out half-time when it came apparent he was gimping around and wasn't the same RG3 we all knew. Redskins Coach should be held responsible and so should Redskins Organization for always having one of the worst Fields in football. It looks like they don't do any maintenance on it.

This weeks picks:

Denver Broncos over Ravens in a touchdown win for the Broncos

Green bay Packers over San Francisco 49ers in a 2 touchdown win, and after the game 49ers fans will be classless and make death-threats like they usually do.

Seattle Seahawks over Atlanta Falcons in a game that is decided by a field-goal either way but I think the Seahawks will edge it out because of their defense. I see a score like 24-21 win for Seahawks and the Atlanta Falcons are one and done again but it's really not their fault because they were really motivated this time but they just have bad luck and run into teams that have better defenses than them in the playoffs. Seahawks offense and defense are hot, possibly hotter than the Giants right now. I think Atlanta Falcons will play their hardest ever and that is why I think the score will be close but I think Seattle will pull away with the win.

New England Patriots over Houston Texans game that I see going very similar to the Packers/49ers game where I think teh Patriots will dominate for the most part and win by atleast 2 Touchdowns.

If my picks are right and I go 4-0, we should have some great NFC Championship Games coming up. But usually things don't turn out that way. I think I'd be upset if Houston Texans beat Patriots not because I like Patriots because I don't, I'm an Eagles fan but Patriots vs Broncos would be an awesome match-up, so would Seahawks/Packers since they had that controversy earlier this year.

Good Luck to all the teams playing and their fans, please don't hold grudges on me for not picking your team to win.

Didn't Atlanta Falcons seriously try to win that game too? I thought they left their starters out there the majority of the game and even got some hurt. But when I got my haircut at the barber shop the other day, people we're saying they had their 2nd string out there most of the game. I thought I caught this game on the redzone and I thought I seen their starters out there in the 2nd half too...

It doesn't matter whether if they're trying, unless the opponent in the SB also lost a game to either the Jets or the Bucs, I don't see them pulling out a win.

They can still try though, who knows what might happen?

It would be a shame if this was true in the sense that this would be Tony Gonzalez's last game, and having never won a playoff game. I get that football is the ultimate team sport and all that, but to have a career that he has as a Tight End, and have nothing to show for it playoff wise is kind of sad.

He'll get in the HOF because there isn't a huge glut of spectacular TE's in NFL history trying to get in like there is with Wide Receivers the last decade or so, {Cris Carter comes to mind} but like Cris Carter, constantly no showing in the playoffs pretty much makes it hard, if not impossible to be considered G.O.A.T. in your respective position, no matter what the stats say.

They can still try though, who knows what might happen?

I really do feel like this is their best shot to get over the hump, because if they can't beat Seattle in their own house, then they'll probably never will get to where they want to go. Aside from their defense and running game, the Seahawks are not really that special as a team, especially when they have a rookie at QB, and I do believe that the Falcons have what it takes to exploit Seattle's weaknesses. {and vice versa.}
