Dat-syuk?
Fuck off!
Geez, with how quickly the flames' window is closing you'd think they'd try not to get tossed around in every aspect of the game, but here they are getting humbled by detroit.

I know. I can't help but feel that the Avs would have fared much better.

Not with their defense and goaltending.
the games would've been 14-2.

Who's to say? We won't know, because by next season when we reach the playoffs again, we'll be a different team, physically, mentally and with some personnel changes, because they are inevitable

So will they be beating out the Blues for the president's trophy or do you think St. Louis can take it home?

May I interject?
Woywitka wins the James Norris.

Sakic still has scored the most playoff overtime goals ever.

No need to be facetious, we've got a decent squad, but we had more than our share of injuries (and last season's bonehead trades - Theodore / Aebischer; Leopold / Tanguay) to deal with

How do you know? Budaj has never played a playoff game, so you've got to give the kid the benefit of the doubt.

I think what the boys are eluding to is that we need to make it to overtime (indeed, make the playoffs) for that to come into effect.
Goaltending wins matches, I thought we were in the running for Luongo, but then picked up captain dipshit to play as the most expensive backup in the league. What a twat.
is it just me, or is this the most amazing series ever?
--> Vancouver vs. Dallas.
Lets compare the goaltending battle --: Link
I have to honestly say that everyone of these games has been fucking entertaining!
the Stars and Canucks, oh man. It's like watching giant robots beat the crap out of each other, the way they play so hard, hard hip smashing hits. It's like watching Rugby, if only the Calgary-Detroit game was like this. I want Hockey that resembles Tanks! not fairy ballerinas dancing to the Nucracker. Oh well the Flames vs Red Wings series is ok. At least the Flames are heating up. But still I ratherwatch hard checking and Orc like bone crushing.
Arrrgh.

Yeah, but Joel Quenville wouldn't waste Budaj on the bench in the first round - he's seen how Theodore plays in the Playoffs, as per last season.
The Avs are rebuilding, a process that will probably happen every other five years for every team in the NHL thanks to the salary caps.
Well, that gives us 4 good years starting with 2007-08!
Not that the old NHL was anywhere close to as good as it is now.
That, I cannot fail to agree with

Make some space on the couch and pass me the popcorn!
say who won the Calgary Detroit game this afternoon? lol I fell asleep! (damn it ! IT was all for the taking Calgary. 5:1 Loss. How in the holy fucking Poutine can one lose that suckily). They fucking played like old men! Rocket Richard moves faster than that. And he's fat...... and dead!
Fuck you Calgary. Be more like Vancouver. slow moving, but invincible tanks! not strawmen who can be blown by the fucking wind! gahhhhhhhhhh. now we have to finish off the series on Detriot. And with Calgary's road record., lose! dammit.
Inginla don't you WANT a stanley cup ring? but Inglina's time is over! he's too fricking old!
Oh well, tomorrow's game in Calgary, will be exciting, crowd roaring. But most likely that would be the end of the run!. But I do like to thank the flames...... for giving me a very vrey peaceful relaxed afternoon nap! It was like someone slipped Roofies or Shot knockout darts at me! ahhhhhhhhhhhhh The epitomy of Zen like buddist calm.

Calgary at the most is out in seven. They have absolutely no game on the road.

Two overly conservative completely non-offensive teams handing out shutouts in the playoffs? What a fucking snooze-fest.
I want Vancouver to win but if Dallas wins then oh well...
well for east i have two favs but whatever
west: vancover
east: montreal and buffalo
West Conference is either going to be the Ducks or the Sharks, most likely the Ducks. East Conference champ is going to be the Devils.
Flames were currently in overtime at the making of this post. They still are...

oh my God. THIS IS HOCKEY! and that dog pile at the end of OT1., or the puck just sitting on the line, waiting for it to go in, but Kippersof covered it. Man that's the balance of fate right there man!
I have sufficent evidence now, to deny the holy spirit, and participate in the Blasphemy challenge.
I Casey Luk (Hong Kong Express), deny the existance of the holy ghost, the Father, and Jesus. I deny the divinity of all supernatural beings. Now all I need is a webcam and microphone!
luls. Calgary finally lost with their oh so precious home advantage.

I think the team that wins out of Dallas and Vancouver can make it to the finals quite easliy, as none of the remaining teams play with a style like either the Stars or the Canucks.
Matchups, with my predictions
Detroit Vs Dallas - Wings
Anaheim Vs San Jose - Ducks
OR
Detroit Vs San Jose - Wings
Anaheim Vs Vancouver - Canucks
In the East, the winner will be from the matchup between the Sabres and Rangers. I don't mind the Devils, but all they've really got is Marty Brodeuer. Ottawa is jinxed for Playoff Hockey, can they erase the hoodoo this year? Probably not.
Matchups with my predictions:
Buffalo Vs New York Rangers - Crap Shoot, Sabres taking a hard series
New Jersey Vs Ottawa - Devils
