That one goal the jets made 1.6 seconds before 3rd period end was a holy shit moment for sure

Ive never seen anything like it, hoping the Jets beat the Stars.

Toronto Maple Leafs feel like a different team this playoff season.

They don't look like the Maple Laffs of recent season and its almost like they can back their talk for once.

That Game 5 performance begs to differ whether Toronto has fully backed up their talk, when that dud of a game. Maybe game 6 lights a fire under them and get it to G7, but I have my doubts.

At this point if the leafs dont look at themselves, confront their demons and go back to the drawing board, you are correct.

On cue, Toronto finds a way to gag a Game 7 again, and made everyone there just look soft and unworthy of being there.

I can't be angry at them anymore because I knew that they were going to falter when it mattered most, so I'll just leave with this, they need to blow it up and start all over.

Auston Mathews was always overrated to begin with and this series cements it. Ideally, he needs to get out of Toronto but probably won't.

John Tarvares just look completely soft, and looks stupid for leaving the Islanders in the first place. (Yes, it may have been his hometown team and all, but it look like he didn't care anymore)

I could go on and on, but I would be wasting my time on a franchise that can't get out of its own way in spite of all of the supposed advantages it claims to have. It won't happen, but it wouldn't suprise me if there is a fan revolt against them and just decided to stop going to their games because of the Maple Leafs' acceptance of low standards of the eternal status quo.

(Yes, I'm aware that money and market size ultimately doesn't matter, but this is getting ridiculous)

And it turns out the Leafs were exactly who we thought they were. It's going to be a very interesting offseason for them.

Don't let the Leafs choking distract you from the fact that the Stars head coach got himself shit-canned after making the conference finals.

At this point regardless if the stars won or lost Rattenen already gave a "fuck you" to colorado so not all was lost.

Besides Im more interested in seeing the Oilers take all

I'm paying attention to the Calder Cup finals. my biases are shown but good to see a3 to 1 lead for the Charlotte Checkers turn into a 4 to 3 win for the Abbotsford Canucks. was a nice little thing even though people will talk about that puck drop and going into the back of Silovs net.... the rules are pretty clear on this at faceoffs, both teams personall have to be ready completely before puck drop cause of fairness if it happened the otehr way then yeah I think the checkers would have objected. too.

But yeah Game 1 Abby, 3 away from glory.

Also the Oilers need to lock the fuck in at game 6 or we will be seeing the Panthers raise another cup banner

Glad to hear I'm not the only one interested in the AHL games. If Abbotsford wins it then that'll be a good thing.

On the note with Oilers... at this point I have a feeling this will go to game 7. I really don't know why they seem to struggle every other game but they're evenly matched with Florida on a good night to the point where they can make comebacks.

Response to NHL Hockey Fan-Club 2025-06-17 22:39:03

Well guess given the score right now it would be fair to say the Panthers defend their championship title for a second year in a row.

Good for Marchand though, if anything this is the best possible "Fuck you" to the Bruins front office for trying to low ball him. Still wished the Oilers got their heads out of their asses but it's far too late for that as I'm writing this.

So which Canadian team will end their Stanley Cup drought first and when?

I've would've thought Edmonton could win it all this year, but Florida simply bullied them again, along with being thin on their roster, Winnipeg felt like a fluke that played way over their heads and nearly got burned, Toronto can never be trusted, while Ottawa and Montreal are young teams with too much variables to tell.

The problem comes down to a couple of factors but if we're being real, Canadian teams sent their players to teams like Florida.

Its a lot more complicated than just taxes but there was a good video explaining this That explains why each player who is canadian went down to FLA.

Maybe if front offices of Camadian teams gave their teams a chance to gel and gain good chemistry along with the right coach and not be so concerned about playing a specific way, any Canadian team could have a chance.

Yes, even the Maple Laffs despite their curse
