They don't look like the Maple Laffs of recent season and its almost like they can back their talk for once.
That Game 5 performance begs to differ whether Toronto has fully backed up their talk, when that dud of a game. Maybe game 6 lights a fire under them and get it to G7, but I have my doubts.
At this point if the leafs dont look at themselves, confront their demons and go back to the drawing board, you are correct.
On cue, Toronto finds a way to gag a Game 7 again, and made everyone there just look soft and unworthy of being there.
I can't be angry at them anymore because I knew that they were going to falter when it mattered most, so I'll just leave with this, they need to blow it up and start all over.
Auston Mathews was always overrated to begin with and this series cements it. Ideally, he needs to get out of Toronto but probably won't.
John Tarvares just look completely soft, and looks stupid for leaving the Islanders in the first place. (Yes, it may have been his hometown team and all, but it look like he didn't care anymore)
I could go on and on, but I would be wasting my time on a franchise that can't get out of its own way in spite of all of the supposed advantages it claims to have. It won't happen, but it wouldn't suprise me if there is a fan revolt against them and just decided to stop going to their games because of the Maple Leafs' acceptance of low standards of the eternal status quo.
(Yes, I'm aware that money and market size ultimately doesn't matter, but this is getting ridiculous)
