I take it from this you mean that you like the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Lighning franchise has never been based in California.
If so, welcome aboard. Have the Leafs got a shot at the playoffs this year?

You wanted me to count if the page had already 30 posts?

You wanted a solution, I gave it to you. Alternatively, you could take the number of replies, take away 29 (there are only 29 replies on page 1 and then divide by 30. If the answer is a whole number, then page number last has 30 posts and your next post is top of a page)
Hasek makes a shutout against the Ducks last night. Is he maybe shaping up for a rare playoffs appearance?

I geuss the Avs are pretty much out of the Playoffs.

Yep, you can stick a fork in us, we're about done.
We could win all of our remaining games and still come up short. We need to win them all and hope the flames crash, which they won't do.

We're going out there with the mentality of winning every remaining game. Ok, so we've got to hope the Flames lose some, which they probably won't do enough of.
I know I'm clutching at straws, but we will be back stronger next year. Paul Stastny is a great replacement for Alex Tanguay, I'll say that much. Peter Budaj is a more than competant first choice goalie (Though I'd still rather have Luongo, Lundqvist or DiPietro) And Joe Sakic is a 600 goal scorer who is still leading the team in scoring.

That's what it looks like.

Well, we're going to make it look like a fight to the death, apparently - 5 points gap, 6 points available.
Although only a slump from the Flames and 3 wins from us will get us in, I'd like to think this is a great team-building exercise - we will return stronger and better for it next year.
This is a guarantee

The Avs had some sloppy moment during the year but you've prove your-self during the last stretch of year. Sad it was a little too late... I'll be expecting nothing less from you next year. We will see you among the top Team in 2008.
The Wings have to lead to the President Trophies, if they win; it will be their third year in a row matching the longest streak since the Montreal Canadian in 1979-1982

We've still got one of the best youth systems in the game and we can make it back up there over the next year.

I call Buffalo to win the President's Trophy. They're a point behind and have a game in hand.

Agreed, but your team is loosing is soul (Roy, Forsberg, soon Sakic) will the young be ready when it comes?

Nah, the wings have the next 2 games in hand. So unless Buffalo gets the next 3, it's pretty much over. I bet you what you want, but it's going to be Red this year, in and off season!

Hockey's future ranked them 20th in the league, and that was back when Wolski and Statny hadn't graduated yet.

Just like the blues strong finish will win them the president's. olol.

Sakic will be the 11th player to 1,000 assists next year, he's still got 2-3 years left in him. May I remind you that he still leads the team in Goals (35); Assists (60) and points (95) If I were Avs GM, I'd get rid of Ian Laperriere (29 points, 124 PIMs)

Well, Buffalo stand tied at the top of the standings, Detroit have 1 game to play, Bufalo have 2. If the wings lose tonight, the Sabers only need 1 point from 2 games - not difficult with their record, methinks.
There are 3 50+ game winners so far this season - Buffalo, Nashville and San Jose. Detroit can join that number by winning tomorrow

I'm optimistic. I don't fly in the face of adversity, but the Avs are learning some great lessons out there - the veterans are teaching them how to play better as a team and the youngsters are responding with some great numbers of their own.

Avs up 2 to 1 right now. I'm not to worried about them winning, I'm just hoping for Calgary to choke.

I'm not watching the game yet. I'm working on a signature but I'm going to watch the game at the start of the 2 period.
