NHL 2K5 and 2K6 were absolutely fantastic. Much better than anything EA has offered up in recent years. That and 2K6 has Bob Cole and Harry Neale as announcers. It makes the game that much better.

I used to be with it. Then they changed what it was.

Now what I'm with isn't it and what's it seems weird and scary to me.

It'll happen to you!

I highly doubt a 1-0 game with still 7+ minutes to go in the first would've guaranteed a victory. I'm not saying it's impossible, but a lot more unlikely in today's NHL.

Which one incorporates all of the rule changes? By the way, did stores actually sell the video game from the lock-out season?

I think the EA version went on sale and was withdrawn about a week after release, since the lockout was announced then.

Ovetchkin or Crosby

MAREK SVATOS!

but on a slightly more serious note, Ithink Ovetchkin for now, but Crosby will probably out last him.

Yes indeed Crosby seems to be the fan favorite. I guess I would pick him too being a pens fan and all. He is the guy with the most hype and has the most eyes on him.
Anyways only time will tell.

I can garuntee the nominees (or top 3...whatever) will be:

Sidney Crosbey
Alexander Ovechkin
Dion Pheanuf

with Ovechkin probably winning it all...

How do you think the trade between the Mighty Ducks and the Blue Jackets will help Columbus? Is Sergei Federov worth Tyler Wright?

Well it was obviously a salary dump for the ducks... There probably going to make a blockbuster trade any day now.

Alothugh Federov is past his prime... I still think he's better then Wright.

I think Luongo should start... Brouder is past his prime and is getting worse, this was evident at the World Championship last year.

It would be fucking awsome if Pheanuf and Regher were on a line toghether but I doubt Gretzky will take Dion because of his lack of expirience.

Canada's National team is gonna rip shit up again this year. I would most deffinately pass up on Joesph and hand the job to Luongo

Crosby and Staal then. Crosby is enjoying himself as a rookie and the experience would be great for him, while Staal has already set a career high for goals, assists and points. He can take his game to the next level.

Plus, I think Gretzky is looking at Joseph as our number one goaltender. I mean, he's been playing great, but isn't he a little old to represent all of Canada?

They should take three goalies. Luongo starting, with Brodeur and one other.

Yeah, we all remember the 2002 Olympics where Cujo choked hard against Sweden. I don't think he can handle the pressure of the Olympics. Brodeur has been there and he's won Stanley Cups. It all depends on how healthy he is.

He's got 400 career wins, which is a large ammount, compared to ANY of the goalies I've mentioned previously.

I think Spezza would be picked before these two. He's older and has more experience in the NHL....AND has more points. I don't know. I think all 3 should be in the team.

What about Manny Fernandez? or Dwayne Roloson? or Manny Legace? I know they usually pick the older guys, but we have quite a few new guys that could possibly fill in the position quite well. Brodeur looks less and less like a good choice. Age is catching up with him.

Luongo is the king of the shutout so far this season. He adapted so well to the restriction of the goalie equipment, that it took everyone else a few months to say 'well, he uses it well enough', by which point he already had a few shutouts under his belt.

Yes sir the king of shutouts and the goalie who will lead Canada to the glory land.

Just a quick question for ya Coop. How is the hockey in England like ? When I lived there it was more or less none exsisting. Do you have a league or national team ?

Giguere and Fernandez weren't on the (not-so)short list of 87 player or whatever... He only pick from those.

Well, we can answer with the Elite league website. It's not the best league in Europe, and neither is the national team 'Team GB' but we are working towards maybe becoming a force in the future.

Thanks for the link. That is really cool. . . I would have to choose Nottingham Panthers as my team. Their logo is the best.

The Coventry Blaze are my Local side, they are about 45 miles from home for me. I quite like the Newcastle Vipers as well, since thay played really well on their way to back to back championships a few years ago
