Guess what, I'm not a Flash author, but I'm still

...going to review this. There are lots of things you can add in a review, such as requests for features or changes, bug identification (particularly with games), or spelling and grammar errors. Are you saying that in order to criticize a plotline, I need to know Flash? I take it, then, that you've NEVER criticized a book or movie or play or anything that you haven't done by yourself. Please.

TruffleClock responds:

I was talking about things like saying it was bad without reason, all the things you mentioned are more like suggestions.

oh no a lecture

It's obvious a ton of flash artists and reviewers on newgrounds are preteens or teenagers. It's also obvious that the teenage hatred for criticism shows whenever an artist writes FUCK ALL REVIEWERS FUCK ALL BAD REVIEWS I'LL SICK WADE ON YOU!!!

The best advice is to not take internet criticism seriously and not let annoyance reflect in your flash, because that makes it annoying to watch. Whiney flashes are for foamy.

TruffleClock responds:

No, if they have the right to say some shit, I have the right to do something back to them ok?

Let me raise this point, sir:

As to whether or not a person has 'submitted' a flash before,

1) If their submission is blammed, then it will not show that they have submitted anything

2) Perhaps they ARE working on something, and don't wish to turn in unfinished work

3) Does a person need to have read a book, seen a movie, or heard a song to know whether or not they liked it? Do I NEED to know how they made the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park (just to make the reference slightly obscure) work in order to get the movie? I'd argue that they didn't. In fact, I'd argue that the mystery of it makes things more interesting.

If you are going to look in my profile as to whether or not I've submitted anything, you will, as you have probably guessed found it empty. The reason being a combination of my first two points; I've both submitted an absolutely horrible flash, which was not necessarily unintentional, and I've been working on better pieces from time to time (I'm more into video than animating, however).
All in all, I respect your work as an artist, and this review is merely to critique your point, not yourself.

was better than most

cc, ll, rc, gc, ss submissions ive seen in a while, the intro was good, and u had to starin urself aonly a little to understand the clock, usulay they r so meched sounden that it sounds like ur talkin thru some tin cans

I dis-agree

Newgrounds is for the public - its not just for people who make flash movies. A film critic has the right to write crappy reviews for movies even if they couldn't direct a better one, therefore anyone on this site who wants to trash a movie can, even if they are not a flash maker.

I am a flash maker, and I don't have a problem with people 0-ing my stuff if they honestly think its bad even if they don't make flash.

Are you saying that people who don't make flash don't have the right to review, or that they should only write positive reviews?

If people think its good, you get good reviews. If people think its bad, they trash it and have the right to.

Only exceptions are those who just go around watching the first five seconds and then voting 5 or zero based on that to get lots and lots of points. Those people I do have a problem with. But if people watch the whole thing to the end, and honestly think its bad, and vote 0 - thats fair, wether there flash makers or not.
