Straight from the horses mouth....

Well put TruffleClock on all the unhelpful reviews you been receving. But you have to consider that all the pll saying your flash sucks and you can't make a good flash are just jelious or never capable of making a flash to pass the portal. You have 30+ flashes under your belt and more to come. Most if not all of your flashes don't have a point or make any sence what so ever. I don't consider that a bad thing what so ever. I enjoy the ramdomness you have in your flashes and the style you put into it. Hell you even got a 4th place daily reward and that a reward that alot of users dont have.

There is an old saying "You can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time." Just don't let the users get under you'r skin. By replying "F*ck you" and "F*g" just fules the fire and the just makes they keep coming back and taunghts you even more. All you have to do is just say nothing or reply in a nice way. But i not telling you how you should talk or act it just a suqqestion. Even in the rules it says saying blam this or F*ck you will get them ban and removed. Just let them post the bad review and the users will post the abusive review on the BBS and then all sane users will flag it too hell.

I agree with your message my friend. I am a programmer myself, so I can relate. I routinely deal with comments from people like, "why can't you do xyz?" So, I can definitely see where you're coming from. Admittedly, some of my reviews have not been very heartfelt, but my less savory reviews are generally reserved for people obviously put no effort into their flash and submitted it just because it was, "something to do."

I may not have a flash under my name (that's not been blammed) but let me put some pros and cons of this film

Pros
-clock film
-insightful
-attacking all the idiots that have no concept of flash (i mean the people who don't even know how to use flash, not the people that don't have a flash in their name yet)
-educated

-you ripped off tribute to animators (message wise)
-animation a little bland

So what you're saying is...

Those who do not know flash, should not comment on it? What then qualifies ppl to comment on anything? How can they know good music from bad, if they are not a composer? I agree that usless reviews which seem derived from more spiteful emotion than actual evaluation are seemly flooding the boards. I try to keep the casualities of my review readers low, myself.

As for portal etiquette, a large percentage of reviewers and animators alike breach the rules on a daily basis. I'm not saying it's right, as I have probably missed a good number of opportunities for whistle points, because I follow the rule saying, I cannot tell inside a review when I am blowing the whistle. But I pick my battles, as do we all.

For this however, it is nice to see some basic, though pleasant animation. Your style is classic clock fashion which I can't dock nor award originality. The sound was quite clear, as some speakonia voices can be hard to understand. I got a chuckle that your character bothered to read the exact words from the rules. In closing, it's a nice flash, very straight forward, communicates your message to the audience effectively.

Do I think it deserves to be on Newgrounds... well my personal opinion is no, since all it does it convey what most already know. Sad thing is, the people who should be watching it, won't bother and if do, won't give a damn. By the way, whether the viewer's opinion agrees with the perspective of the animator or not should remain just that, an opinion. Voting should represent the quality of the flash and not the love of the animator's fan base, not saying that you're one of those type, but it's a personal gripe.

In conclusion of what seems to have become a short essay, good flash. Not because I like it, but because it was well done. By the way, I tend to score my review points based on content, exempting the overall. Sorry, if you don't like long reviews, I ramble.

Don't use flash...

Ok so you make a crappy flash, you know its crappy, we know its crappy, we know its hard to make one, and you know its hard to make one. So if you try hard as hard as you can kudos to you... but, if its really crappy after trying real hard, you really dont have a right to submit it, we don't want to see it no matter how hard you worked on it. Like your god fosaken collabs. So if you get a review that does not help you thats because you worked as hard as you can, there isn't much help to give.
