Reviews for "eBaums world dot com"

Funny

That last reviewer was a dick. This is a top-notch flash. The singing was great, it rhymed and didn't have to resort to stupid shit that made no sense. Whoever was singing didn't have too bad of a voice. Well done!

great song, but what point are you trying to make?

You may have herd of two little sites called milkandcookies<dot>com and bornslacker<dot>com and you may notice that alot of content on both sites is also on ebaumsworld<dot>com, the trick is I see alot of this show up on ebaum's site before it shows up on the other two, and I have also noticed the opposite. Conclusion? Everything on the net is stolen from other sites, the interenet is here partly to share crap (and your sticky palms can tell you what the rest of it is for) and half the time no one will ever get credit for their work. Sence it's apparent this flash was inspired by ebaum's assholeness twards you (which being an asshole myself I fully support) I can understand that much but please, let's not "Beat down one fag in 'francisco" so to speak sence almost all sites like that benifit from stealing from one another.

altffour responds:

milk and cookies links to other sites

and bornslacker is nowhere near as popular as eBaums

Nice flash, interesting message

First, the animation itself.

That is probably the catchiest song I've ever heard. I can't get it out of my head. Huge props for that. The animation was simplistic and nothing too complicated, but used very effectively, very much avoiding getting in the way of the true beauty of the piece, the music. Character design was amusing as well. Over all, not a perfect piece, but one definately capable of standing its ground.

As for the message:

Personally, I never visited Ebaums before I saw this flash. I was aware of its existence, but I just never bothered to type in the address and look at it. And now, after watching the flash, I have ironically spent several hours watching video clips from it. I admit I feel a little dirty.
As I have no definative proof as to whether or not 90% of the sites content is in fact stolen, I can't exactly accept that figure at face value. However, I do know that some, if not most, of the flash featured is there without the author's consent. Weebl, for example, has a link to your site on his front page as we speak, and his work is certainly featured on Ebaums. Plus, the story about malicious script eating somethingaweful's bandwidth is downright disgusting. So count me in on your side.

I do have a question. What about other similar sites, like albinoblacksheep? They feature a very similar menu of flash content, and are much less clear as to exactly how they aquired said flash (as opposed to a site like newgrounds, where authors directly submit their content and any stolen or "borrowed" work is removed). Are these sites also as guilty as ebaums?

altffour responds:

From my experience with albinoblacksheep is that it is submitted my the owners at least most fo the time.

Its true. eBaum is a bum

Okay, so he took uncopyrighted media and audio files. Even written files. Wrong? No. But calling data from somethingawful (my favoritist website on the interweb) to lag it down. Now that is.

But taking those artistic masterpieces of pranks and humerious flashes off the internet, putting onto his site to attract visitors, just to make money. Now thats wrong, and should(if not) be illegal.

I hated that site, once i saw adware first apparing on my computer, specifically from that site. SO i stopped wasting my precious bandwidth there. I waste it at somethingawful and new grounds.

Its all my opinion. Im not a fanboy, and siding here. Wait... well, i am. But ive been loyal to newgrounds & somethingawful for a long time. And neither one has done something so mallicious and stupid to motiviate someone to make a flash, with its own audio to express their hatred. Its my opinion, and if this angered you. I apologize that a review on the internet made you angry. I really am...

whaaa?

If your unfamiliar with what is happening, here it is. When you load the webpage ebaumsworld, you are loading some files that are not located on ebaumsworld (that are referenced in the code of the webpages) servers but files that are located elsewhere, thus increasing bandwidth usage for those hosts. Therefore also inreasing their server hosting rates, due to higher bandwidth usage and no website hits referencing that. This is a LOW and absolutely DIRTY tact. I don't go to ebaumsworld at all anyway so no loss of business from me, but still that is bullshit.
