Reviews for "eBaums world dot com"

catchy song.

i guess im laughing at myself. oh well. it was pretty funny.

I study e-business in the UK....

And I will think this will make a sweet case study for my exams. Thanks for the info peeps! My two cents...well, as long as Baum doesn't claim that the content is his, I don't think there is a problem sadly. -_- The public domain argument he puts out - that all things on the internet is PD - is not true and copyright always belongs to the creator unless specified.

Yah, I'd read about that.

I read about the whole bandwidth hijack, can't remember if it was reported on NetCraft, WMW, or some other bit-twiddler site.

The content theft is naughty (but it happens all over the place, waddya gonna do?) I had a large site's entire content scraped by a PHP scraper site, and it drove my traffic down and got me kicked out of the SERPS in Google for "duplicate content" - Anyone who says "no biggie" mis-understands what's at stake for site owners and content developers.

The content re-branding is actionable. EBaumsworld is gonna get sued out of existence sooner or later. Newspapers that have re-printed web-content without permision have been successfully sued, and they have better copyright lawyers than Eric does.

The Bandwidth HiJack is low-down, dirty, scummy, and is a criminal offence under the DMCA, as well as being actionable in civil court.

Take heart. Eric may get away with it in the short term, but he's not the first to do this, and he won't be the first person successfully sued and slapped with court injuctions for this type of activity. He'll get his comeuppance.

I think you should be proud!

I added your flash to the wikipedia article about eBaum's World!

Funny

That last reviewer was a dick. This is a top-notch flash. The singing was great, it rhymed and didn't have to resort to stupid shit that made no sense. Whoever was singing didn't have too bad of a voice. Well done!
