Reviews for "This Side Up: Ep.1"

keep up the good work

not bad boys, not bad, pretty good actually. only complaint i have would be the sound, at some points the talking was too quiet, other than that, an overall good effort, looking forward to the next episode.

Voices....

I would say it's an overall good movie. Weird plot but funny. A big flaw was, the voices were tremendously quiet. I had to put my speakers to full blast just to hear the voices. When you record voices you can edit the volume by selecting "Effects" then select "Increase Volume" fiddle with it until it's not... whisper quiet. Besides the sound anyway it's good.

Sweet..

That was awesome, haven't really heard of your flash before, but this was pretty sweet, it was a good length in my opinion, anyhow the graphics were sweet, something to work on graphicly would be your charcters mouths when they were talking, that and perhaps the actual sound of the movie, when they were talking it sounded a little scratchy, and the volume was screwed up, either than that though awesome flash!!

LOL

At first I thought this would be a crappy flash made by a 15 year old who cracked a copy of WINMX. The sound and animation was less than impressive, but I kept watching anyway. The cat was very funny, and the storyline was better than expected. The story was quite good considering this is a flash. I can live with the joint's showing(in tha animation). My only complaint is the lack of character development(Theo is a religious nut, the other guy is a letch).
I liked the way you showed destruction(the bullet holes, the broken glass, the hole's in the wall's). This flash reminds me of "Father Ted", a british sitcom about a parochial house in Ireland.

ArseNick responds:

Thanks for the kind words man. The animation, well it's gonna get better, I'm just starting this and I'm a one man animation team, so I'll tend to cut corners until Tyler or Theo learns Flash. As for the showing of the destruction, I'm happy you picked up on that. One of my plans is to actually keep all the holes, rips and tears in the next episodes aswell. Patched up poorly of course. By the time this idea is abandoned, that living room will be one huge piece of shit. As for character development, I guess I'll just have to make more episodes to show their traits eh? Thanks again.

pretty damn good

What u can hear from the characters is pretty funny but having to piece together everything gets annoying.in the end the jokes really won me over.
