Reviews for "Overrun II"

holy shit son

well denvish, this stuff is much better then the original, which already had some bloody high standards. the game is more asethetically pleasing, the audio is better. All the graphics are amazing. and, of course. its friggen addictive and hella fun. Well, i was planning on doing the afternoon doing homework or something productive... but it looks like i have a new flash game to kill off the rest of the day.
Awesome work.

Denvish responds:

HI! SORRY ABOUT RUINING YOUR DAY!!! OMGOMGOMGOMG. Cheers man...

Fantastic!

I think shindigshawn should stop being a bitch and play on a level harder than 'easy'. It got very difficult at points, and it was fun to be able to use upgrades. Great graphics too. Very cool game!

Denvish responds:

Heh. Thanks for saving me from a review response rant, I've pissed too many people off in the past when I've got angry at negative reviews. Fortunately, there haven't been too many of them so far. Thanks for the review, glad you liked the game.

This game is a godsend, but there's a HUGE GLITCH!

Awesome job on the game and all, but there's something wrong and here it is:

When you complete a level, go through the shop and then you can save... BUT!!! Here it is... if you press the arrow to go back to the shop, go to the save screen again and then save again... it'll save but a level ahead, if you saved at LEVEL 3, and you went back to the shop, save again after and then it'll be saved as LEVEL 4!!! Then when you go to the next stage, you'll be a level ahead... or repeat this process to get ahead...

dude, get this fixed!!! It ruins the consistency of the game... but nonetheless, this game without the bugs is godlike!!! Keep it up...

Denvish responds:

Thanks for the warning. I'll update the file tomorrow.

Loved it

I loved that game, possibly the best shooting flash ever, nice going man

a nice upgrade for overrun

This is really a very good upgrade for the original game. You expanded the amount of enemies and gave the game a nice array of battleground settings. I can tell a lot of hard work and effort went into this game.
The coding seems very solid. I still can't get thru the game on crazy mode but I have tried the available difficulty settings and I can't find a glitch anywhere.
What really stands out is the opening screen where you have different options to select. You can review the storyline, look over the controls, and view different power-ups, as well as enemies and all at your leisure. The scroll feature for viewing each section is really neat. I would like to see the code for that sometime.
The upgrade store is a great addition. Nothing better than maxing out your battle wagon.
Turrent response on this game seems much improved over the first one. I like the enemy health status bar as well. It lets you know you are on target for far off enemies.
The interactivity sets this apart from most flash games. Overall, its a solid little game that could easily be made a console game. Good luck in the future Denvish. Ta

Denvish responds:

Once again, thanks for the positive review. I think Crazy mode is probably impossible, I never finished the game on that setting =D
