Great artwork and music
Wow this has helped alot. That is some really great animation. You also seem to have the allstar music cast up there ( SpacLock and Chronamut make some of the best music i've heard on this site ) so the music never get old or repetitive. 10/10 EASLY!!!!
Yeah I made sure to get only the best stuff and I tried to keep it mellow (so as not to disturb the learner). There's an easter egg in the masking section that - among other things - has links to every single piece used (their full versions). The loops were fun to make.
I'm learning to animate... so if 'really great animation' is any indication, I'm doing pretty well.

Uh... nothing from sonic there.
There are remixed themes from Earthworm Jim, Shadowrun, Zelda, Zanac, Chrono Trigger and Balloon Fight... no Sonic. Maybe you're thinking the Zanac theme sounds like Sonic... I dunno.
