A very well done movie
Wonderful job on the animation, and on the story line itself. Talk about putting a very stark and drastically new meaning to the simple smiley face and principle of smiling. Smiling never seemed so scary. Very well done.

Really good movie.
I thought the reason they had to smile is because it is a dystopia, similar to 1984/brave new world. From birth the people are conditioned to act like robots and never be unhappy, to the point that even the guy who was getting killed was still smiling. The disco party at the end is to show there total lack of empathy for the others.
