Wow.
This is fantastic. Very deep, and really makes you think, which is rarity for most of the content at NG.
I believe, or my interpretation of the events, is that the man represents the individual, while the 'judges' represent the society. While society is not pretty in its nature, it tries to cover it up by making individuals conform to its 'ideals', or to make them look happy on the outside at least. Hence the smiling.
There is a lot of pain in life, that the individual must suffer, however society expects you to maintain that happy face. They don't care about your pain. They only want everyone to conform.
Finally, the disco at the end, while I thought it was quite sudden, and somewhat inappropriate, perhaps not timed as well as it should have been, it does have a strong message, which is that after all that's bad and painful has been done, people or the society tend to forget it, move on, and have fun, showing no real empathy.
Thats my interpretation of it, it might not be intended message exactly... but I thought it was very clever all the same.
Thank you for the wonderful movie, and I hope you make more. Definatley one of the better, and more though-provoking clips on NG.
