Never use mouse drawing as an excuse. In case you didn't know, Luis draws everything with a mouse, and his art is fantastic.

Yes, my skin is much to perfect, I will look up some tuts on this sort of thing, and try some out myself. And i am very prouf of the pants and semi-proud of the hair. I just think they hair could be alot better.

i also used a mouse for the above picture i posted. I think i will go into using my tablet here soon though, for photoshop at least.

23450 - I like the dodge and burn on the trowsers, it's a little over the top though. On some bits you haven't even coloured in the lines, try doing that first. Also, what's with his weird proportions. His face looks like he's been stuck in a tub all his life, and his body looks strange. For example, look at his hip area, your legs don't work like that. If say your left leg was struggling to go forward, then your hips don't just stay flat like that, infact that little waist/hip bit shouldn't be there it's not there.

Also, if you look at the muscles in the arms, they just look like you've gone "Ur, shit, lets put some muscles here, and here, and here". Think about how they actually are and were they are.

i agree with most of the stuff you said, except this...the muscles in the arms looks fine to me, fairly good actually. Its the abs and such that i dont like, and dont seem to fit. And i did use the burn tool a litle much in spots, still leanring how to get around that.

Try to draw the outline in a lineart program, or even flash, and use one shade of color, and put in the color effects you'll need later. Then you can transfer to Photoshop and mess with it, if you start from scratch in photoshop and you're just getting started and trying to learn, it can look a bit paperish and genericly shaded. Its pretty cool for a first though, the colors arent my cup of tea though, maybe he's just really tan O__o Is he punching through the wall?

First of all, i did not draw him fron scratch in photoshop. I drew him on paper, scanned it in, and then started colouring in photoshop. You can actually see the pencil lines on the drawing if you look closer. And its not my first, and i dont get what you mean by generically shaped....also, no, he is not punching through the wall, he's is just trying to get away from being strapped to a wall by chains.

Hey, dont worry 23450. I think it looks great. I could easily tell that he wasnt punching through a wall and i could tell he was doing what you said. The facial expression is great but i think some of the proportions are off. The only comment i would agree with buzz is the colours. They are a bit orange :P
