very nice, now you can say that you have at least 8,023 of everything right now. That's quite good. You seem to be averaging over 200 saves a week. That is an excellent pace to be going at. The summer is going to be full of submissions. August is probably newgrounds' biggest month of number of submissions. It would be cool if you hit 10k saves by the end of the summer, if not... sooner.

I should note that the above stats are from Friday morning, prior to me leaving town. I didn't get back until an hour after midnight NG time (about 23 hours ago), so I have no way of knowing (unless one of you noticed and tells me) what the fannet status was just before midnight. Ah wells! I think it's safe to assume the week was ended with at least 20 IN votes, but I can't be sure, so I'm just going to ignore this past week's stats when I update the following "history log" next week: The IN votes for the past several weeks were: 27 26 27 24 22 18 16 17.

Since I have no idea whether or not the pentalist fell out of the top 50, I can't very well comment about that (like I usually do) here. #;-}>

Instead, however, I'll now point out the obvious fact that the list was updated on Sunday instead of Saturday. Now, I was never as anal about the pentalist update's day of the week (like I was with the VP list... the top 500 VP list was ALWAYS updated on a Saturday, with no exceptions, not even for my Christmas trip!)... but since the web version debuted in January, it's always been on a Saturday. However, due to me being out of town until early Sunday morning, I'm going to give Sundays a try for awhile. I may switch back to Saturdays eventually, but Sundays have ONE major advantage: I can update any time on them, from midnight to midnight. When I was updating on Saturdays, I kept updating near the end of the day so I could post about the update late enough that the fannet clicks wouldn't go to waste prior to the reset when Sunday came around. Thus, by updating any time I feel like it on Sunday instead (which could mean right after midnight, and thus not very different from the old late-night Saturday updates of the past few weeks... or it could mean late-night Sunday instead, as happened this time). It provides me more freedom, less fannet-related worry, and an easier time of things in general. So, let the era of Sunday updates begin. Clearly, most people on the list gained 80 exp this time around (and if I ever switch back to Saturdays, one update will feature a 60 exp gain for most members), but aside from that, things are cool.

It's a great update (ramagi's quadlisting + BBR+BS getting back on the list), everyone, so enjoy the hell out of it! ... And hey, click that fannet button. We weren't doing that well when I left town last week, so let's rebound with a great performance this week, eh? #;-}>

Just keep depositing everyday, vote only on underjudgements, post when you think it is necessary to post in the bbs, review as much as you possibly can... keep doing all this and i'm sure you will make 10,000 of two categories at some point. good luck... and you only get 10 experience points per day.

Having four of the five stats over 10k means you're pretty damned close to pentalistedness already, even if the final stat is very very far away from 10,000. #;-}> For one thing, you can just concentrate and focus on that one stat if you really really REALLY want it that bad. Reviews are the toughest to rack up rapidly, but who knows. Like I said in the update, I wouldn't be surprised if ramagi hits 10k reviews in 2006, say... because she jumped from 3000 posts to 10,000 posts in half a year, so... anything's possible.

That WILL be interesting. But what do you mean by "might make a difference," YoinK? Do you mean that some people who're on the list for exp/posts or blams/posts might fall off the list because their postcounts drop under 10,000 once liljim puts this script into effect?

What if you drop under teh 10,000 posts? Would you be upset to lose teh quadlisting?

I ask because you've locked QUITE a lot of topics in your past few months as a BBS mod... way more than I have, certainly, and you're bound to lose tons of posts that you made before locking each of them...

But yes... yes, I saw that the Blam Club thread is going to be safe. Good news for teh historical preservationist movement on NG. I just hope the two threads I mentioned in the topic in the mod lounge get saved as well. They're my own little contribution to the history of NG BBS, IMO. #;-}>

Apparently, from what I've learned since I first saw YoinK talking about it in here and went off to find more about it yesterday:

The pruner is automated. It's not some sort of A.I. robot mod or something. It's a program/script. It's not looking for "spammy" posts (how would it know what's spammy, anyway?). It's looking for old and/or locked topics and the posts within them. But liljim has said it's only going to delete around 200,000 (out of 5,200,000 or so posts on the BBS)... so it's not THAT bad, now is it?

Anyway, I'm going to hit teh 8400 tonight and take a screenie. I really don't care if I lose hundreds of posts, because to me what makes postcounts special is just reaching cool numbers or every 100. If I get knocked back to 79xx or something, then I'll just enjoy being able to take a fresh new 8000 postcount screenshot. #;-}>

I hope so!).

as I just hinted to both ramagi and X, I'm in the middle of list-updating type things, and about to get to the meat of the pentalist updatingness. I'll have the data by midnight but it'll take a bit longer to make the list stats and notes and so forth, so don't expect the list to be updated until 12:30 AM or so. I will of course drop back in here to post about it (though I'm not going to have the time/energy/motivation to do any other catching up, like say in level up, sadly).

Oh, but one last thing I will say that I should be confirming in level up since I brought it up there early this morning:

HT and Pimp both deposited today, and it is indeed confirmed... they now have exp amounts of 19936 and 19926. The gap is down from 30 in 2003-2004... to 20 in 2004-2005... to 10 exp! Will the 10 exp gap last until mid-2006? Who knows. But the race for level 30 and #1 in exp is getting quite fascinating, isn't it? #;-}>

I don't know if anyone noticed this also about humantarget and Pimp... yea there is that 10 exp gap.. but one has 10 exp more than the other... and both of them are currently level 30 users. That is so weird. Good thing about humantarget missing a day of depositing is that it means less days for everyone else to level up to the next level.

yea... regaining level 30 after he already had it for quite some time in the past.... but a goal is a goal.

This time I'm sure about the 42th ranking (which is not too shabby!), but once again I failed to check the actual IN/OUT numbers just prior to midnight, so the above are from earlier Saturday. Probably inaccurate. But closer than last week, at least. The IN votes for the past several weeks were: 27 26 27 24 22 18 16 17.

Thanks for all the clicking, peoples. I'm sure a lot of people have now seen the pentalist that wouldn't have otherwise. My counter has certainly been going up higher and higher each week... we're getting over 100 pageloads per week, and that certainly wasn't the case back when I started this site in January.

The update itself is nowhere near as exciting as last week's was (at least for most people), as it didn't feature anyone getting quadlisted or a PAIR of people entering the list like last week's did, but ah well. We carry on regardless. #;-}>

I'll be around this week, hopefully. But no time for catchup anywhere right now. I will say one thing, though: Yoink, the 10 exp gap is going to cause Pimp and humantarget to both share level 30 on QUITE a lot of days (in fact, I'd bet it'll happen at least 5 days each and every week... Pimp just tends to deposit first more often than not). Anytime Pimp deposits before HT, basically, he's going to be level 30 as well because they will be "tied" for a short time (though in actuality HT just hasn't deposited yet, of course).

Evey time I see this list, It reminds me I need to do soem mroe rviews to get back to that goal of 1337 I have. I did write a few to get back to where I was before a few movies were removed.
