@cyberdevil

As for making the the list I don't know I go through this whole thing it's a real issue but it is what it is a process I go through lol

As for the vacation I'm planning no car it's gonna be all train or bus staying in each city a few days then into the next. It will also help with my atlas earth (game) addiction lol

A lack of motivation thing? Sense of obligation thing? Stress thing? It seems I'm just not as focused on the race as I used to be, I want to get back to that momentum, but then again long-term slow and steady seems to work pretty well too, if other matters momentarily must take precedence...

Ah I thought for sure car was just the way you traveled in the USA! Are trains reliable over there? If they are that's awesome, definitely a both comfortable and efficient way to get around - full use of all time you spend on board for sure.

'The #1 real estate metaverse' huh, getting rewarded for travel... interesting!

They've been fun to follow though, looking back it seems they'll be a bit of a treasure trove of tips and tricks.

Glad you posted those too!

No not lack of interest just lack of time and even though I'm semi retired and moved here to Texas now just trying enjoy what life does have such as travel Lego and whatever else comes along the way lol

Yes trains are if you wanna get places far aways lol at the comfort of train. Maybe not as crazy trains like yourself of life but still good

Yeah the game itself is an investment as you can earn some money lol

But it's fun for me anyways

Ah well if you can believe the pensioners I'm near it seems almost like you get less free time the more of it you have.

Maybe a feat related to Parkinson's Law, the adage that time expands to fill whatever expanse you provide it. The longer you take with tasks, the longer they take. Yet life typically doesn't give you the luxury to choose how much time you spend on particular things... until you've retired. ;) Seems there may be a connection there...

I didn't know you were even semi-retired though! That's cool. Early age too. Texas seems like a pretty good place, from what I hear on the JRE, a lot of people moving there lately...

Yeah man

...also! Hope to get to Japan some day and try their maglev bullet trains too, we're starting to get more and more high-speed ones here but still nothing like that.

Though I love old trains too. The extremes seem the most appealing somehow. The slowest; oldest; most rinkety-dink ones out there - and the fastest too.

Makes me wonder what other alternative means of possible easy income I might be missing out on, investments that are in part pure entertainment too... very cool.

Is it just me, or has the rate of new submissions been picking up recently?

Its definitely a major boon for all of us (more potential B/P to earn is always nice), but I'm not sure if I'm not 100% sure if there's been a genuine influx of traffic or I'm just spending more time in Under Judgment than normal.

@cyberdevil investing in all sorts of stuff to create passive income but mainly in the stock market I retired or semi retired early because I can live off of the extra money that comes in every month from stocks and still allow for me to put some back into it so that it continues to increase every month. Now of course this is something that took a few years to get too

Then there are the other passive incomes like my Lego business that can generate income so my advice to anyone investing is always a plus just do the research as much as possible and what works best for your income etc

Texas is ok very warm but down the road we will see if I move for now I will travel all over the US and maybe some parts of Canada

I'm not sure... the last week or so at least it's seemed consistent, but compared to a month or two ago maybe it has ramped up a little. Usually you can see on the next Hexalist update on top gainers if there's a considerable boost or no, most users deal mainly with B/P and EXP, and EXP's of course the same always, so deduct that and you get a rough estimate of available B/P the past month...

Compared to a few years ago it's definitely a boost. It's gone from ~1000/month to somewhere between 2000-3000 now.

Actually you could probably get a pretty exact count if you just check submissions counts for the past month, both active and obituaries. You'll just be missing submissions deleted for other reasons then, malicious stuff, spam etc. Though they wouldn't count for B/P either way.

I'm personally leaning towards a genuine uptick in submissions - I've seen a fair chunk of senior student films popping up in Under Judgment, as all the art students are reaching end-of-term/graduation, and I've seen the occasional news post about some user coming here from another art site to escape enshittification.

Mmm stocks are a scary business, if you make the wrong move it's easy to lose all the more than you gain from it, it seems, though if you actually do put in the work and research maybe there's not as much uncertainty as there seems to be... I've been meaning to read up more on that. Have started with crowdfunded construction loans for now, they have pretty good interest rates, and certain securities in case things don't go as planned, but still not close to stock level interest if you invest in the right things. Fascinating field... I hope to get to a similar state of passive income eventually, so far I'm hopefully at least staying ahead of inflation/devaluation...

Awesome to hear you're actually living that life! Shall follow that advice for sure. Slow but steady for starters.

Canada's cooler eh. :) Sounds nice trip-wise. I'm not great with heat so Texas probably wouldn't be an ideal residence personally, but apart from that weather it sounds like a great place. Freedom still. Looks good too.

You may be right... the art student end-of-term theory sounds possible. I've been seeing news posts about users coming here from other art sites for years at this point otherwise, in bigger waves as certain sites impose certain restrictions on users/submissions, maybe we're a smaller one of those waves now too...

Okay, quick note:

I went to check Tyhond's NG Log on a whim, and found out he was double-listed, and has been for a while.

Not only that, the guy's got more reviews than Wayne. Damn.

Ah I thought he was on the list already... good note, I'll make sure he's added on the next one...

Indeed, I just found out about him myself a few months ago via a P-Bot post, added him to NG Logs then, but he may have been #1 for some time... he's been crazy prolific the few years he's been here.

I did some quick maths using Tyhond's current NG Log - with 79,158 reviws over 1,983 days, he's been making an average of 39-40 reviews per day. At that kinda pace, you'd hit 10k reviews in under a year.

I'd probably need to check through his ealier logs to get a good idea just how prolific a reviewer he is, but part of me suspects his current reviews per day are in the triple digits.

That's fast! Yet still not unmanageable, if they're short you could definitely make it a routine... I'm surprised nobody else really has before him, maybe others have started the same way, but nobody stayed as consistent as long.

Yeah if you go by the NG Log history it seems he's averaging over 100/day currently, and it seems to differ a lot from day to day, it's easier to get an average than a max or minimum... but that's a lot of reviewing!

Not 100% sure if its just me, but the Favourites section of NG Log appears to be broken on Firefox - its treating every favourite like its a favourite game:
