...To be, or not to be... with mac... lol. Well at first I though of getting a mac just so I wouldn't have to pay for photoshop again. But then I thought "I don't know much about computer's... So if getting a mac costs more than getting photoshop for windows, Ill get windows photoshop and vise-versa". I know what your thinking. Im a cheap bastard. Right? Well if you were, your pretty much right... I don't think I would be if I actually had money, but photoshop costs $200. How am I going to get a MAC(assuming it costs more than 200) if I can't even afford photoshop. I'm still contemplating(sp?...Meaning? lol).

Yes... Your game. The one where you fly the plane and dodge birds. I liked it. And thank's for the... the... nice complement on my sig...

by the way.... that was back when i went by the alias Solidest Snake....

so that might make a little more sense....

My second sig, also made in paint! sorrry i deleted it, so this is a pic from the day i was level 30, so it might not look as good as it should... also, this is actually the third but just try to imagine it with instead of kid deadpool in that text, solidest snake in text... some dude asked me why i had a pic of deadpool in my pic when i was solidest snake, so i changed me name to Kid Deadpool just for kicks... there ya go, a story of my early days on the BBS

I know you probley have alot of request for sigs at the momment, but could you make me one?

What i would like is a really dark gothic looking sig, with like a scary dark version of jack Skellington, from Nightmare Befor Christmas, like on the right side, and my name on it. That would be awsome, somthing like that, it doesnt have to be jack.

Wow, I'm at my dads house on his comp, and I now realise just how screwed my monitor is. It's getting worn out and going dark but now I see just how bright my sig actually is.

And I can't make any sigs this weekend as I don't have access to PhotoShop but sometime I may install it on this comp aswell.

We have our eyes on you... don't fuck up I mean keep up the good work :)

Hey, I was wondering if you could tell me how to exract and image (you know, to remove the background) without getting that crappy, frayed-looking border around it? I was wondering because the ones you guys do are so cleanly cropped. Just need some help, thanks : )

There are a number of different ways, depending on your image.
You can mask a layer, this is too lengthy to go into here so maybe look for a tutorial ..... if the background is solid black you can use the lighten blend mode, or if it is white use the darken blend.
Failing that, zoom into your image a ways, use a soft edged brush and very carefully use the eraser tool to get rid of what you dont need.
In photoshop too there is an EXTRACT IMAGE function, but it takes a bit of getting used to to get any good results.

Response to Amature sig makers 2003-11-21 18:06:12

Yeah, I've been using the Extract thingie, but it comes out rather choppy. But thanks!

Yea, the ASM is really taking off, I started posting about, a week ago maybe? And already I've learnt so much.

Y3llow, ur sig looks MINT!!

Thanx for the compliment, I think I worked out that it's my 6th sig in PS.

i will start doing sigs again soon, its just that i was like 6 weeks behind at school, but now im back on track asm will be my second home again

Thats really good for your first sig. I don't use PSP so I don't know if it's good for that but I understand it is easier than PS. So nice work.

All good advice. There's also the Background eraser in both PSP8 and PS7 (could be in earlier versions of PS, I'm new to that program). Like Soho said, the key is to take your time, and practice.
