I must say i do agree with you , the asm has gone way down hill, people spamming and posting extremly poorly made sigs.(this being the biggest reson i've not been botherd to fill out any requests for a couple of weeks)
I do beleive we should start a new sig making club somewhat like the old SSM were sig makers are invited in (NOT an open club), it sounds extreme but i beleive it would be the only way to tackle the majour n00b problem here in the ASM=[

I agree with the idea Liam, but unless new controls come into place on NG, we can't actually stop people spamming.
If people want to spam then they'll spam, that's the trouble with NG.
I guess you could try and get a MOD to closely moderate the thread.

Yeah, i used to check out the SSM reguarly but since it closed down this is the only place other than the BSM. I dunno if i am 1 of these people who submit "poorly made sigs" but i do try my best and i will try to cut out the usless crappy sigs (such as the 1 i made for slicky_boy)

the trouble with Mods closely moderating threads is i have noticed they are quite strict at times. I rekon if turkey posted his long "speech" on any other NEW club it would most likley result in a band for backseat MOD

okay lets get this thread rolling.

Here is a sig i made for a friend who is going to sign up tonight. We are not sure if the name is already inuse so it may have to change but i posted this so that we can actually get some sig talk or sig making going rather than usless spam.

I made this originally by total accident. I was playing around with my new brush set and accidently pressed ctrl+i (inverse colour) instead of ctrk-shift-i (inverse selection) it then looked really nice so i played around with thecolours for a couple of minitues before finding this. I then minimized it and checked my "request book" and sorry "Green_lightning (fred)" in bold letters cos i was gunna do it later that night. So i simply added some text and a border and this sig was born. I'm fairly proud of it.

Sorry for posting like my life story just thought i would tell people how i got to this :D

Yeh Tru ki raed it and know howyou feel, Bubba and Vegeton aren't active much anymore, and this thread is spam infested, which is why I left a few weeks ago, I did mention my leaving but I guess it was covered up by spam, I made a lot of sigs here a while back and yeh I agree we had some great artists here, but now it's gone to the dogs, I'll come back here now and again, just to check up on you guys who are left.

If you need help with spam in a larger topic that most mods avoid, email (try to avoid pms which I can't check at work) me with exact details and links, and I'll get to it when I can (generally when I'm off work I go through the list and clear up tons of stuff brought to my attention).

yeh i might get locked but saying again theres no point in not trying, i'll probably try and start the thread later on tonight when most of the ASM's good artists are online (turkeybean, you, bubba ect) ^^
