Word of warning for any review flaggers. Moderation of reviews has hit a new low. There's a certain review mod who will clear the flags on abusive reviews and will delete the reviews after, costing those who flagged them points.
Let me point a few things out to you, and the rest of the whiny bunch of flag happy people here complaining about this.
There is more than one Review Moderator on this site. Just like BBS Mods, we don't all see things the same way. That being said - the most likely of cases is that one of us saw the review and cleared it, not seeing it as abusive and since it was probably linked up in the RGTY: AR, more people kept flagging it and once it got back into the Abusive Reviews List it was viewed by a different Review Mod, and deleted because they saw it differently.
Since most Review Mods are not BBS Mods, they can't delete posts linking to non-abusive reviews they judge. I have on many occasions seen strings of reviews that aren't abusive(although shitty) and come straight to the Wi/Ht Forum and deleted the posts linking them, and the quoted posts links to stop them from being reflagged.
Next time you assume some mod is out to get you or other regulars, or is generally being a huge asshole, stop, and use some logic. Just because you flag a review, is by no means a guarantee that it will be deleted. The flag system is, and will always be, a suggestion for mod action. Not a demand, or order for action to be taken.
Users make more mistakes flagging reviews, than the moderators do judging them. It's a smaller pool of people on top of being selected by the admins as knowledgeable and trustworthy to be moderators.
