Just like BBS Mods, we don't all see things the same way. That being said - the most likely of cases is that one of us saw the review and cleared it, not seeing it as abusive and since it was probably linked up in the RGTY: AR, more people kept flagging it and once it got back into the Abusive Reviews List it was viewed by a different Review Mod, and deleted because they saw it differently.

I was closely monitoring the reviews. I flagged the reviews then refreshed a few minutes later, I noticed an extra flag on all the abusive ones, refreshed again a minute later the flags were cleared, then refreshed again about 10-20 seconds after and they were gone. I'm not the only person who has noticed such things taking place either.

Next time you assume some mod is out to get you or other regulars, or is generally being a huge asshole, stop, and use some logic.

It doesn't take a genious to work out what's going on.

Users make more mistakes flagging reviews, than the moderators do judging them.

Reviews which consist of nothing but 'BLAM!' repeated over and over and reviews saying nothing but 'You are a faggot for submitting this.' don't get their flags cleared by mistake.

It's a smaller pool of people on top of being selected by the admins as knowledgeable and trustworthy to be moderators.

If only that were the case.

What a week. It's been a long time since I've had a 50+ week, that's for sure... excluding Clock Day week that is.

milinko will probably pass me this week, as my pace returns to something resembling my usual 30/day. However, I should be able to maintain rank # 83, as I'll pass DuMa, which works out nicely :)

At least I passed Syme which is good. :) Also, so close to get 300 points for the week. :(
Now I am right behind my former EGB mentor EagleRock. Although my journy of EGB did not end with high notes, I still learnt a lot from him. It will be an honor to pass him for the second time. I am not sure if I can get the ob done by the next update or not since I am very busy this semester as a college senior. But I should pass Eagle and two other people in two weeks. Well, as long as I am moving up and voting each submission fairly, I am content.

Stats like this make me all warm and fuzzy inside. MPA has been off the radar for ages. schneelocke appears to be hibernating in her den. bila is lost somewhere in translation. As for DrJam, he's too far down the list for me to worry about. Still hanging with the top 10 voters baby!

I have also noticed reviews being cleared, then deleted, but up to this point, I haven't seen any blatently abusive ones where this has happened. But if clearly abusive reviews are being cleared, then deleted, your claim is absolutely correct. The posters in the Rage thread can sometimes be excessive and overzealous in pointing out reviews that might be abusive, but still that's no excuse to con people out of whistle points. If that's the case, why bother flagging at all. I'm sure the Rage thread makes the mods' jobs much easier than trying to find the abusive ones themselves, or hearing tons of complaints from the authors or whatnot.

Well I remember well I was a nOOb back in 2003 having only 2000 b/p points. So you think your going to pass me, well I am going to make it hard. My new 15-20 b/p pace isnt good enough anymore.
