I also fixed a little bug with the header drop down not defaulting to the current month/year when you first go to the page.

Sorry to revive this ancient thread, but I thought it worth noting that submissions have continued to trickle in for the calendar, in fact we just hit 500!
I've continued to tweak small things and fix little bugs to make maintenance easier and am preparing to tie the system into a proper database and perhaps hand management of approving new events over to someone who has some extra time.
If you think you're that someone, post here I guess, when I get it fully up and running as an independent web-app I'll contact whoever I think would handle it well.
